An apparatus for producing at least one PLA tape includes a heating device for heating a tapelike extruded PLA film. The apparatus further includes a slitting device for slitting the PLA film heated by means of the heating device into the at least one PLA tape. The apparatus further includes a control unit which is configured to control the heating device in such a way that the PLA film is heated by the heating device to a PLA temperature in the range from 40 to 70° C. The apparatus further includes a drawing device downstream of the slitting device.

Method and device for producing at least one PLA strip

Techniques for producing at least one PLA strip involve: a) providing a strip-shaped extruded PLA film, b) heating the PLA film provided according to step a) to a temperature in the range from 40 to 70° C., c) cutting the PLA film heated according to step b) into the at least one PLA strip, and d) stretching the PLA film cut according to step c).

A roller guides and processes synthetic strand material. The roller includes a drivable roller shell. The roller shell has, on a projecting free end thereof, a cover which is effective relative to the surroundings. In order to secure the end of the roller shell relative to an operating side, the cover is freely rotatably connected to the roller shell.

The invention relates to a device for the production of strand-shaped products such as synthetic bands, fiber strands, monofilaments, or films, which are extruded from a polymer melt. The device includes an extrusion device, a cooling device, several rolling feed units and several processing devices mounted between the rolling feed units. In order to obtain short control paths and compact machine units, the processing devices according to the invention are arranged in tiers one above the other, wherein the rolling feed units face each other at both ends of the processing devices so that the product passes through the processing devices in the opposite direction.

Device for producing strand-shaped products

The invention relates to a method and apparatus for fibrillating synthetic ribbons in an extrusion process for the production of, for example, grass fibers. The extrusion process creates a sheet of ribbons from an extruded foil or a multiplicity of extruded monofils, and stretches them conjointly. The ribbons are led side by side in a parallel arrangement along the circumference of a fibrillating roll with a partial wrap. To produce a pattern of fibrillation irrespective of the thickness of the ribbons and the elasticity of the ribbons, the invention provides that a multiplicity of short partial cuts is made in the ribbons by a plurality of successively engaging rows of blades on the fibrillating roll each having a multiplicity of projecting cutting tips.

Method and apparatus for fibrillating synthetic ribbons

The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing strand-shaped goods in the form of small bands, fiber strands, monofilaments, or films, which are extruded from a polymer melt. After cooling in a cooling bath, a thermal treatment occurs between rolling feed units, wherein the goods are brought into contact with a hot medium. In order to be able to perform an individual thermal treatment depending on the thermoplastic material, the hot medium is provided optionally in the form of hot air or hot water according to the invention. For this purpose, the heating apparatus is formed from a forced-air oven and a water bath apparatus, which can be optionally activated to thermally treat the goods.

Method and device for producing strand-shaped goods

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a turf yarn for artificial turf. According to the invention, several monofilaments or ribbons are produced from one respective polymer material in two parallel extrusion processes, the turf yarn being formed by combining several monofilaments or ribbons obtained in the first extrusion process with several monofilaments or ribbons obtained in the second extrusion process. In order to improve especially the elasticity of an artificial turf carpet made from said turf yarn, the monofilaments or ribbons obtained in one of the extrusion processes are crimped before being combined, the crimped monofilaments or ribbons and the flat monofilaments or ribbons being produced in parallel next to each other and being joined in a winding station by means of a tie thread.

Apparatus for the production of a turf yarn

A process for the production of tapes from a web of polymeric material, as well as an apparatus for carrying out the process, in which a polymer melt is extruded to form the web, which is then cooled, and drawn off. The web is then cut to form a tape sheet composed of a plurality of tapes. According to the invention, before its drawing, the sheet of tapes is divided into several groups of tapes and drawn separately. For this, a drawing device is provided with which the tapes are drawn separately after division of the sheet of tapes.
