A system is disclosed. The system has a door that selectively opens to allow access to a cavity and selectively closes to block access to the cavity, an electronic lock configured to selectively lock and unlock the door when the door is closed, the electronic lock including a user interface, computing memory having associated therewith code, and a processor communicatively coupled with the computing memory. The processor is configured to execute the code and to: receive a random code from a random code generator, program the electronic lock to unlock the door when the random code is entered via the user interface, and transfer data of the random code to a device of a system user so that the data is used to enter the random code to the user interface of the electronic lock to unlock the door.

System and method for providing interconnected and secure mobile device charging stations

Systems and methods for locating and providing public mobile device charging stations are disclosed. One or more charging stations may be configured to charge a battery of a mobile device. A database may be configured to store location information of the one or more charging stations as well as mobile device location and security credential information of the one or more respective mobile devices. A server communicatively coupled with the one or more charging stations and the database, may be configured to determine a proximity of the one or more charging stations to a location of the mobile device. This determination may be based on the station location information and the mobile device location information. Based on the determined proximity, provide the station location information of the respective one or more charging stations to the mobile device. The charging station further provides photo and/or video surveillance security to verify a user.

A system is disclosed. The system has a door that selectively opens to allow access to a cavity and selectively closes to block access to the cavity, a lock configured to selectively lock and unlock the door when the door is closed, a camera configured to image a user area adjacent to the door, computing memory having associated therewith code, and a processor communicatively coupled with the computing memory. The system is configured to execute the code and to control the camera to record a first image data of the user area at a first time, store the first image data, control the camera to record a second image data of the user area at a second time, and selectively unlock the door based on comparing the second image data to the first image data.

A system for an automated dispensing and retrieval kiosk for recorded media includes a kiosk having a plurality of vertical racks arranged in a circular formation, each vertical rack configured for storing a plurality of recorded media. A customer interface allows a customer to select or return a recorded media. A robotic element delivers the selected recorded media from the vertical racks to a media output, at the customer interface. The element also delivers a returned recorded media from a media input at the customer interface to the vertical racks. A computer controls operation of the kiosk, and an internet interface connects the kiosk to the Internet. The kiosk may communicate with a central server and/or other kiosks of a group, to locate a requested recorded media within a kiosk of the group. Once located within the group, the requested media may be reserved for customer pick-up.

A server includes a mail interface that can communicate messages using various formats and protocols to track down recipients of important messages. An automated dispatcher maintains dispatching rules that establish preferences for message routing. The dispatching rules distinguish between email, mobile-phone, and pager addresses and communication protocols and can be set to try different addresses and protocols to get a message to one or more recipients. Forwarded messages can be reformatted for the receiving device, while a copy of the original message is retained. Messages may be reformatted to include the phone number of the message sender. The reformatted message can then present the user with an option to return the message via a phone call. The reformatted message can include more than one phone number, in which case the sender's phone numbers can be prioritized for presentation to the user. A mail server collects messages from a number of user accounts and presents them to the user from a single location. Forwarded messages are automatically reformatted for the receiving device, while a copy of the original message is retained. Messages may be reformatted to include the phone number of the message sender. The reformatted message can then present the user with an option to return the message via a phone call. The reformatted message can include more than one phone number, in which case the sender's phone numbers can be prioritized for presentation to the user. The reformatted message can also present the user with an option to review notes or other contact-specific information prior to responding to the message.

During the conference, an attendee uses his/her wireless device to access the conference information, select another attendee or a group of attendee from the list of attendees, and send the selected attendee or attendees a message. The message can be conveyed to and stored in the personal proxy mailbox or mailboxes of the selected attendee or attendees. The use of personal proxy mailboxes allows attendees to send messages to one another and to receive messages from one another without divulging their primary email addresses.

Forwarded messages are automatically reformatted for the receiving device, while a copy of the original message is retained. The retained copy can be viewed later if the user is interested in message content that was not available to the wireless device. The user can also use the wireless device to forward the original message to another receiving device. In the case of forwarding, the saved original message and not the reformatted message is sent to the forwarding address. Replies to messages directed to the user from different message sources identify the user by message source to allow the user to maintain separate email identities.
