The disclosure relates to a bond produced with an at least partially crystallized glass, such as a metal-to-glass bond, in particular a metal-to-glass bond in a feed-through element or connecting element, and to a method for producing such a bond, in particular in a feed-through element or connecting element. The at least partially crystallized glass includes at least one crystal phase and pores which are distributed in the at least partially crystallized glass in a structured manner.

The present disclosure relates to a glass composition as well as a glass powder. The disclosure also relates to the use in the dental field, e.g. as dental material such as dental filling or dental restauration material, in particular as or for the production of a glass ionomer cement, for example for the treatment and/or for the filling of cavities in human and/or animal teeth and/or for tooth restoration.

Glass composition and glass powder, in particular for the use in the dental field

The invention relates to a radiopaque glass having a refractive index nof 1.480 to 1.561, this glass, apart from impurities at most, being free from SrO and PbO. The glass is based on the SiO, AlOand BOsystem. The radiopacity can be adjusted using CsO in particular in combination with BaO and/or SnOoptionally in conjunction with fluorine. The glass may be used in particular as dental glass or as optical glass.

Radiopaque glass and use thereof

The amorphous, or at least partially crystalline, glass-based joining material is suitable for high-temperature applications, particularly in fuel cells and/or sensors. In addition to SiOand BOas glass formers, the joining material similarly contains BaO and CaO, whereby the amount of AlOis limited. The joining material has a coefficient of linear thermal expansion of at least 7.0&#xb7;10Kin a range of 20&#xb0; C. to 300&#xb0; C. The joining material can be used for joining ferritic high-grade steels and/or chromium-containing alloys and/or ceramics, such as stabilized zirconium oxide and/or aluminium oxide.

Radiopaque glass and uses thereof

Vitreous or at least partly crystallized sealing material is provided. The sealing material is from the system SiO&#x2014;BO&#x2014;CaO&#x2014;MgO, which is free from BaO and/or SrO and which has an improved coefficient of thermal expansion and improved crystallization properties. The sealing material is employed to produce joint connections, electrical feedthroughs, and/or as a barrier layer.

The glass or a glass ceramic has a defined composition range in the system SiO&#x2014;BO-MO.

Feed-through element for harsh environments

A feed-through element for harsh environments is provided that includes a support body with at least one access opening, in which at least one functional element is arranged in an electrically insulating fixing material. The electrically insulating fixing material contains a glass or a glass ceramic with a volume resistivity of greater than 1.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9; cm at the temperature of 350&#xb0; C. The glass or a glass ceramic has a defined composition range in the system SiO&#x2014;BO-MO.
