The present disclosure provides a shift gate for a sliding cam system with at least two shifting grooves for engaging at least one actuator pin. The shifting grooves extend in a circumferential direction of the shift gate. The two shifting grooves are at least partially separated from one another in an entry region of the actuator pin. In a transition region adjacent to the entry region, they converge on each other in such a manner that they merge into each other and form a common groove. The shifting grooves each comprise at least one groove flank, in particular a lead flank and/or a runoff flank, which narrows the shifting grooves at least in the transition region, in such a manner that a groove width of the shifting grooves in the transition region is smaller than a groove width of the shifting grooves in the entry region of the actuator pin.

The present invention relates to a sliding-cam camshaft assembly for an internal combustion engine, comprising at least a first sliding-cam camshaft with a longitudinal axis and a second sliding-cam camshaft with a longitudinal axis. The first sliding-cam camshaft comprises a support shaft and at least one sliding cam. The sliding-cam comprises a first cam and at least one second cam, and a shift gate. The second sliding-cam camshaft comprises a support shaft and at least one sliding cam. The sliding cam comprises a first cam and at least one second cam, and a shift gate. The first sliding-cam camshaft and the second sliding-cam camshaft are arranged parallel to one another. A transmission means for transmitting the switching state of the sliding-cam of the first sliding-cam camshaft to the sliding-cam of the second sliding-cam camshaft is arranged between the first sliding-cam camshaft and the second sliding-cam camshaft.

A slide cam system includes a camshaft comprising a carrier shaft with slide cam elements that each comprise a slotted switching member having a switching groove. The slide cam elements are displaceable axially relative to the carrier shaft by an actuator pin. A displacement element is arranged parallel with a longitudinal axis of the carrier shaft, and the displacement element is axially displaceable in a direction of the longitudinal axis. The displacement element has a first coupling pin arranged in a region of the first slide cam element and a second coupling pin arranged in a region of the second slide cam element. The coupling pins cooperate with a slotted switching member of the associated slide cam element such that as a result of the displacement element a movement initiated by the actuator pin of the first slide cam element can be transmitted to the second slide cam element.

The present invention relates to a sliding cam module for a camshaft, which comprises at least one sliding cam with at least one cam segment, comprising at least two cams with cam tracks that are different to one another as well as a closed bearing element, which is arranged on the sliding cam in a rotatable and axially non-displaceable manner for mounting the sliding cam, wherein the bearing element comprises a recipient area to hold at least one section of a locking device to lock the sliding cam in an axial position. Furthermore, the invention relates to a camshaft with at least one corresponding sliding cam module as well as a shaft, on which the sliding cam module is arranged in a rotationally fixed manner and can be moved in an axial direction along a longitudinal axis of the shaft and a cover module, which comprises a cylinder-head cover as well as a closed bearing element, which comprises a recipient area to hold at least one section of a locking device to lock the sliding cam in an axial position.
