A camshaft adjusting device, wherein said camshaft adjusting device has a lubricant supply unit, wherein the lubricant supply unit has a filter device for filtering the lubricant, wherein the filter device has at least one lubricant inlet, at least one lubricant outlet and at least one filter path, wherein the lubricant inlet and the lubricant outlet are fluidically connected to each other by way of the filter path, and wherein an output shaft of the camshaft adjusting device has two wall sections, wherein the at least one filter path is configured in a filter volume between the two wall sections, and wherein the lubricant inlet is at a smaller distance from the axis of rotation than the lubricant outlet, and the filter path extends at least in sections in the radial direction with respect to the axis of rotation.

Camshaft adjusting device

A camshaft adjusting device for an internal combustion engine, comprising a housing comprising a bearing sleeve arranged to be concentrically disposed on a camshaft, the bearing sleeve arranged to be guided through a cylinder head wall, an annular gap arranged to be inside the cylinder head, the annular gap arranged to be formed between the bearing sleeve and the camshaft, an adjusting mechanism comprising a control shaft arranged within the housing, a traction mechanism comprising a drive gear secured to the bearing sleeve outside the cylinder head, and a ball bearing arranged within the drive gear and securing the control shaft within the adjusting mechanism.

Camshaft adjuster

A camshaft adjusting device having improved lubricant management including adjusting gearing for adjusting the angular position of a camshaft is proposed, the adjusting gearing having an input shaft, which can be coupled to a crankshaft, an output shaft, which can be coupled to the camshaft and an adjusting shaft, which can be coupled to an actuator. The adjusting gearing defines a rotational axis and the gearing forms a gearing interior, in which the input shaft, the output shaft and the adjusting shaft are operatively interconnected. The camshaft adjusting device has a lubricant supply for supplying the gearing interior with a lubricant and the lubricant supply is designed to form a lubricant sump in the gearing interior, the sump being radially outwards situated relative to the rotational axis.

A concentric cam shaft assembly, including: a first camshaft; a second camshaft including at least a portion disposed radially within the first camshaft; and at least one phasing assembly including first and second electric motors and a first input gear arranged to rotate at a first speed in response to receiving rotational torque from a crankshaft of an engine. The rotational torque is arranged to rotate the first and second camshafts. The first electric motor is arranged to circumferentially off-set the first camshaft with respect to the first input gear. The second electric motor is arranged to circumferentially off-set the second camshaft with respect to the first input gear.

Electric phasing of a concentric camshaft

A triple shaft adjusting gear including a driving part () that can be connected rotationally fast to a drive shaft, a driven part that can be connected rotationally fast to a driven shaft and an adjusting member that can be connected to an adjusting shaft. A mechanical stop for limiting an adjusting angle between the drive shaft and the driven shaft is arranged between two of the three shafts. According to the invention, the stop is an elastic coupling member for damping an impingement in case of a stop.

A method for adjusting a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine which has a camshaft adjuster that in turn has a triple-shaft gear mechanism with a setting shaft, a camshaft sprocket and a camshaft. The camshaft sprocket is drivably connected to the crankshaft. During motor standstill or in a transition phase, in which at least one of the three shafts of the triple-shaft gear mechanism stands still, a driving of the setting shaft occurs. Also, a camshaft adjustment system is disclosed which has a triple-shaft gear mechanism with a control device that adjusts the crankshaft during the motor standstill or in a transition phase.

Method for adjusting a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, camshaft adjustment system, and internal combustion engine having an adjustable crankshaft

An adjustment device for adjusting a relative rotational angle position of two shafts (particularly a cam shaft and a crank shaft of an internal combustion engine) that has an adjusting gear which is designed as triple shaft gear and has a drive part connected to a first shaft (crank shaft), a driven part connected to a second shaft (cam shaft), and an adjustment shaft connected to a servomotor shaft of an electric servomotor in a rotationally fixed manner. In order to implement a wide temperature range for the operation of the adjustment device, a temperature sensor is arranged in the servomotor. In a method for operating an adjustment device or an actuator, the current of the servomotor or the actuator is controlled depending on the temperature that was determined earlier.

Adjustment device for adjusting a relative rotational angle position of two shafts and method for operating an actuator, particularly of such an adjustment device

A valve drive for controlling gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine. The valve drive has at least one valve camshaft that is supported within a cylinder head of the engine and that can be moved in rotation by a drive disk and an adjustment device, which has an adjustment motor and a gear train. The adjustment device provides for an axial movement and/or rotation of the valve camshaft relative to the drive disk in a specific manner upon actuation of the adjustment motor and by the intermediately connected gear train in order to vary in a specific manner an actuation of the gas exchange valves that occurs by cams of the valve camshaft. Also, the adjustment motor is placed predominantly or completely within a common chamber with the drive disk.

Valve drive of an internal combustion engine having an adjustment device

A variable coolant pump for a cooling circuit of an internal combustion engine that has a pump housing in which is mounted a hollow shaft that is driveable by a pulley. At one end of the hollow shaft an impeller is fastened which has vanes projecting into an inlet chamber and which is firmly connected via axial bridges to a cover disc. Through rotation of the impeller together with the cover disc, water can be sucked into the inlet chamber via an inlet connection piece of the pump housing and conveyed by the vanes into an annular passage of the pump housing. A guide disc with a contour corresponding to the impeller is further arranged between impeller and cover disc. The guide disc is guided by the axial bridges and can be displaced axially via a positioning unit by a piston located inside the hollow shaft.

The invention relates to an electric camshaft adjuster for adjusting and securing the phase angle of a camshaft of an internal combustion engine with respect to its crankshaft, having a three shaft gearing which is embodied as a harmonic drive () of sleeve design, and a drive wheel () which is fixed to the crankshaft and has a first ring gear () as well as an output component () which is fixed to the camshaft and has a second ring gear () arranged next to the first ring gear () and an adjustment shaft ('&#x2033;) which can be driven by an electric adjustment motor, with a wave generator (&#x2033;) which has means for elliptically deforming a flexurally elastic, externally toothed sleeve (). A way of improving a harmonic drive of sleeve design is for the expenditure on the construction of the harmonic drive () to be lowered by changes to the wave generator (), and for the axial installation space thereof to be lowered by integrating the ring gears () into the drive wheel () and output component () which are pushed axially one into the other.
