An implantable electrode includes an outer tube, which has a distal end and a proximal end, wherein the implantable electrode is connectable in the region of the proximal end to an active device. At least one electrode line is arranged in the outer tube. At least one electrode pole, which is electrically connected to the at least one electrode line, for electrically contacting tissue surrounding the electrode in the implanted state of the electrode is arranged in the region of the distal end. A stub line for extending the electrical length of the at least one electrode line is connected to the at least one electrode line in the region of the distal end or the proximal end.

An assembly includes an electromagnetic coil with a conductor, and a substrate on which the conductor is arranged. The coil has a core and the conductor extends around the core. The core is formed by a ferromagnetic rivet that is fastened to the substrate.

The invention relates to an implantable sensor for detecting an electrical excitation of muscle cells, in particular cardiac muscle cells, wherein it is provided that the sensor comprises a dielectric component and a contact point for contacting muscle cells, which is connected to the dielectric component, so that an electric field in the dielectric component, and correspondingly a capacitance of the dielectric component, change with an electrical excitation of the muscle cells. The invention furthermore relates to a system comprising a sensor and an implant.

An implantable device, comprising: an end section, and at least one or a plurality of anchoring elements connected to the end section for anchoring the end section of the implantable device in the tissue of a patient, the anchoring element(s) extending in an extension direction of the anchoring element(s). The anchoring element(s): has an elastically compressible design; can be arranged in a compressed state in which it is folded toward the end section; and is designed to automatically move into an expanded state in which it projects from the end section at an angle of incidence. The anchoring element(s) comprises at least one first lamella and a second lamella connected to the first lamella, and wherein the two lamellae extend along the extension direction of the anchoring element(s) and include a first angle with one another in a plane perpendicular to the extension direction of the anchoring element(s).

Passive fixation of an implantable electrode lead by means of compressible anchoring elements

An implant including a hermetically tightly sealed housing, wherein a control unit is arranged in the housing, and including a header, which is secured to the housing and includes at least one socket for connection to a plug of an electrode lead, and includes a communication antenna, which is electrically connected to the control unit. To achieve a reliable identification of the electrode lead with a low energy expenditure, the header has, in the region of the at least one socket, at least one electromagnetic transmission element electrically connected to a contact element which is provided on the inner wall of the at least one socket or to the ground of the implant and to the control unit, wherein the electromagnetic transmission element is electromagnetically or inductively coupled to the communication antenna. A corresponding electrode lead and a corresponding method for identifying an electrode lead are also contemplated.

Embodiments include a temporarily or permanently implantable medical device, wherein the medical device includes a housing connected to at least one elongate electrical function conductor to transmit therapy signals or diagnosis signals or both. The medical device includes at least one electrode pole connected to the at least one elongate electrical function conductor, via which electrode pole electric current is delivered to adjacent bodily, or electrode pole electrical potentials are sensed in surrounding tissue, or both. The medical device includes, in the housing, an electrical component as a line extension, wherein the electrical component is connected to the at least one elongate electrical function conductor and includes an electric length that is at least a quarter of a wavelength &#x3bb; (lambda) of electromagnetic waves in a radio frequency range, such as of MRI scanners.

Electrode extension integrated in an active implant

An electrode lead having a plug for connecting to an implant having a control device and a communication antenna connected to the control device, and having at least one electrical conductor and one insulating tube insulating the at least one electrical conductor. To simply/reliably transmit information of the electrode lead to the implant (with a low expenditure of energy), a hermetically sealed passive RFID label is embedded: in the insulating tube, and/or in the plug, or in an insulating body of a separate additional part connectable to the insulating tube or the plug. The RFID label has an RFID chip and an inlay antenna connected in an electrically conducting manner to the RFID chip. The inlay antenna is electromagnetically coupled to the at least one electrical conductor and the communication antenna. A corresponding method for identifying an electrode lead and a corresponding implant are also contemplated.

Embodiments include an implantable electrical line with at least one helically wound electrical conductor, an electrically conductive sleeve electrically connected to the electrical conductor, and an electrical filter. The electrical filter is arranged between a proximal and a distal longitudinal portion of a helix formed by the at least one helically wound electrical conductor as viewed in a longitudinal direction of the implantable electrical line, and is also arranged within the electrically conductive sleeve as viewed in a radial direction of the implantable electrical line.

Implantable electrical line

Embodiments of the invention include a temporarily or permanently implantable medical device with an elongate electrical line, and a method of producing the implantable medical device. The elongate electrical line includes a first electrical component and a second component, wherein the first electrical component or part of the first electrical component includes a functional conductor. The second component includes at least one metal layer and at least one flexible plastic layer. The first electrical component is electrically connected in series to the at least one metal layer of the second component.

Implantable device and production method for an implantable device

An implantable medical device including at least one elongate electrical line with a first electrical component as a functional conductor, and at least one second electrical component with an electrical length. The first electrical component includes a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal side is in electrical contact with tissue or blood. The first electrical component is in electrical contact with the at least one second electrical component, and wherein the electrical length of the at least one second component corresponds to at least a tenth of a wavelength (&#x3bb;/10) of electromagnetic waves in a radiofrequency range.

Implantable device

An implantable device including a proximal end, a distal end, an elongate electrically conductive component arranged between the proximal end and the distal end, and a contact pole electrically connected to the elongate electrically conductive component. The contact pole is arranged in a region of the distal end to electrically contact bodily tissue adjacent to the contact pole during operation of the implantable device. The elongate electrically conductive component includes a sub-component connected in series with remaining portions of the elongate electrically conductive component. The sub-component includes a capacitive component, an inductive component and a magneto-resistive component, which are arranged to cause a reduction of a resistivity of the magneto-resistive component that leads to a shift of a resonance frequency of the sub-component.

A medical implant and an electrode device for a medical implant, wherein the electrode device includes a distal end, a proximal end, and an electric transmission line that extends between the distal end and the proximal end. The transmission line includes at least one adaptive element. The at least one adaptive element includes a magnetodielectric material, which, under the action of a magnetic field, changes one or more of its electric and magnetic properties.

The implantable electrode arrangement includes at least one electric contact line that contacts the electrode, and an electromechanical resonance arrangement connected to the electrode or to a contact line to convert high-frequency signals irradiated into the electrode line into acousto-mechanical vibrations.

Implantable electrode arrangement for cardiological devices and cardiac pacemakers

An elongate implantable electrical line including an end component at one longitudinal end of the electrical line, wherein the end component includes at least one electrically conductive electrode surface electrically connected to the electrical line. The end component is a composite component that includes at least one thin metal layer with a layer thickness less than 1 &#x3bc;m. The at least one thin metal layer is applied to electrically insulating material of the composite component and is conductively connected to the electrical line, such that the at least one thin metal layer includes, or acts as, an electrode surface.
