A plate heat exchanger comprises heat exchanger plates each comprising a heat exchanger area extending in parallel with an extension plane and comprising a corrugation extending from a primary level on one side of the extension plane to a secondary level on an opposite side of the extension plane. Four porthole areas enclose a respective porthole and comprise two first porthole areas comprising a respective annular base area around the porthole at the secondary level. Each first porthole area comprises a first annular ridge around the porthole and projecting from the annular base area to the primary level, and a second annular ridge around and at a distance from the first annular ridge and projecting from the annular base area to the primary level. The first and second annular ridges are through-broken by a number of depressions.

Heat exchanger plate, and a plate heat exchanger

A plate heat exchanger and a method of manufacturing a plate heat exchanger are disclosed. The plate heat exchanger comprises plurality of plates, each comprising a central area with a corrugation of ridges and valleys extending between an upper level and a lower level. Each of four porthole areas comprises an annular flat area located at the upper or lower level. The plates comprise heat exchanger plates and an end plate. Each heat exchanger plate comprises four portholes through the respective porthole area. Each porthole area of the end plate is closed by a plate portion. A number of protrusions project from the annular flat area of the end plate to one of the lower level and the upper level. The protrusions, that project to the upper level, abut the annular flat area of the adjoining heat exchanger plate.

Plate heat exchanger, and a method of manufacturing a plate heat exchanger

A plate heat exchanger and a heat exchanger plate for evaporation of a first fluid are disclosed. The heat exchanger plate comprises a heat exchanger area extending in parallel with an extension plane of the heat exchanger plate and comprising a corrugation of ridges and valleys. An edge area extends around the heat exchanger area. Portholes extend through the heat exchanger area and comprise a first inlet porthole for said first fluid. A peripheral rim surrounds the first inlet porthole and extends transversely to the extension plane from a root end to an edge. The peripheral rim has a circumferential length and comprises a flat or substantially flat portion. A restriction hole extends through the flat or substantially flat portion.

Heat exchanger plate and a plate heat exchanger

A heat exchanger plate, a plate heat exchanger for evaporation of a first fluid, and a method of making a plate heat exchanger are disclosed. The heat exchanger plate includes a heat exchanger area extending in parallel with an extension plane of the heat exchanger plate, an edge area extending around the heat exchanger area, a number of portholes extending through the heat exchanger area, and a peripheral rim surrounding a first porthole of the number of portholes and extending transversely to the extension plane from a root end to a top end with a rim height perpendicular to the extension plane. The heat exchanger plate includes at least one restriction hole extending through the peripheral rim and having a hole height perpendicular to the extension plane.

Heat exchanger plate, a plate heat exchanger, and a method of making a plate heat exchanger

A plate heat exchanger includes heat exchanger plates forming first, second and third plate interspaces. The plates extend between a top plane and a bottom plane. First inlet and outlet ports communicate with the first plate interspaces. Second inlet and outlet ports communicate with the second plate interspaces. Third inlet and outlet ports communicate with the third plate interspaces. A porthole of the second and third ports is surrounded by an outer flat area surrounded by an inner flat area. The outer flat area is located at one of the top and bottom planes. The inner flat areas of the second ports of the plates, enclosing the second plate interspaces, are located at a distance from each other. The inner flat areas of the second ports of the plates, enclosing the third plate interspaces, adjoin each other.

Plate heat exchanger

A plate heat exchanger, and a heat exchanger plate for the plate heat exchanger for heat exchange between a first fluid and a second fluid are disclosed. The heat exchanger plate comprises a heat exchanger area comprising a first end zone, a central main zone adjoining the first end zone, a second end zone adjoining the central main zone, and a corrugation of ridges and valleys on the heat exchanger area. A longitudinal center axis extends along and through the three zones. The ridges and valleys extend along a respective continuous line, which is at least partly curved and forms an angle of inclination with the longitudinal center axis. The angle of inclination at the longitudinal center axis is less steep for the continuous lines at the first end zone than at the central main zone.

Heat exchanger plate for a plate heat exchanger, and a plate heat exchanger

A heat exchanger plate comprises a heat exchanger area, at least two portholes each having a diameter, and at least two porthole areas. Each of the portholes is surrounded by a respective one of the porthole areas. The porthole areas are separated from each other. Each porthole area comprises a corrugation of beams. Each of the beams has an end and extends along a respective extension direction towards the porthole. The extension direction of each of the beams forms an acute angle to a radial line through the end of the beam.

A plate package made according to the method includes first heat exchanger plates and second heat exchanger plates. Each heat exchanger plate has a first porthole, and the port hole of at least one of the heat exchanger plates is surrounded by a peripheral rim. The first heat exchanger plates and the second heat exchanger plates, are joined to each other and arranged side by side in such a way that the peripheral rims together define an inlet channel extending through the plate package. The peripheral rim of the first and/or the second heat exchanger plates has at least one through hole, forming a fluid passage allowing a communication between the inlet channel and the first plate interspaces. The at least one through hole is made in a condition in which the first and the second heat exchanger plates have been joined to each other to form the plate package.

Method of making a plate package for a plate heat exchanger

A plate heat exchanger includes several heat exchanger plates provided beside each other, which form first and second alternating plate interspaces. Every second heat exchanger plate forms a primary plate and every second secondary plate. Each heat exchanger plate extends in an extension plane and includes a heat transfer area and an edge area around the heat transfer area. The heat transfer area includes a corrugation of longitudinally extending ridges and valleys. The ridges have two edge surfaces and a support surface between the edge surfaces, with a first width transversally to the longitudinal direction. The valleys have two edge surfaces and a support surface between the edge surfaces, with a second width transversally to the longitudinal direction. The support surface of valleys of the primary plates slopes relative to the extension plane and the support surface of ridges of the secondary plates slopes relative to the extension plane.
