A heat exchanger, e.g., an indirect charge air cooler for an internal combustion engine, is disclosed. The heat exchanger includes a plurality of tubes that provide a first channel system for a first fluid, and a second channel system for a second fluid disposed between the plurality of tubes that is fluidically separated from the first channel system. Two opposite side parts for fluidically bounding the second channel system are provided, between which the plurality of tubes are arranged. At least one frame part is soldered together with a respective outer edge of the two side parts. The outer edge of a side part includes a tab bent over S-shaped as edge reinforcement with a first tab section solder-plated on an outside and a second tab section solder-plated on an inside. The frame part has an S-shaped cross section with a first receptacle that receives the first tab section.

Indirect charge air cooler

The present disclosure relates to a heat exchanger, for example an indirect charge air cooler for an internal combustion engine. The heat exchanger includes a heat exchanger block including a first channel system for a first fluid and a second channel system for a second fluid that is fluidically separate from the first channel system. Two opposite side parts and two opposite end parts are structured and arranged to fluidically delimit the second channel system. At least one frame part is connected with a respective edge of the two side parts and of the two end parts. An air inlet box is connected to the at least one frame part via a seal. The heat exchanger block has a width band a height h, and the seal has a width band a height h, where b&#x2265;band h&#x2265;h.

Heat exchanger

A heat exchanger may include input-side and output-side tube plates and tubes supported therein, forming a first flow duct for a first medium. A housing may surround the tube plates and the tubes, forming a second flow duct for a second medium running between the tubes in the housing. The heat exchanger may further include at least one turbulence-generating insert arranged in the second flow duct between the tubes, the insert having ducts with permeable side walls for the second medium, and at least one dividing wall duct having closed side walls and being spaced apart at least at one longitudinal end from the housing. The at least one dividing wall duct may be designed to be open at both longitudinal ends, may be produced by a compression process, and may have a rising first flank and a second flank engaging below the second flank.

A heat exchanger for cooling a flow of media, comprising a plurality of pipes. The pipes are each received in a respective pipe base at the ends, and the pipes are received in a housing between the two pipe bases, the housing being connected to the pipe bases in a fluid-tight manner. A coolant channel is formed by a shaped region oriented outwards along an outer wall which delimits the housing. The coolant channel has an opening oriented in the direction of the inner volume of the housing, and the coolant channel is in fluidic communication with the inner volume of the housing via the opening. The opening is at least partly covered by a panel, and the panel is arranged on the housing outer wall surface oriented inwards, the outer wall having the coolant channel. A gap is formed between an edge, which delimits the opening, and the panel.

The invention relates to a stacked plate heat exchanger, comprising a plurality of elongate plates which are stacked on one another and connected to one another and which have a corrugated profile, which plates have a cavity for leading through a medium to be cooled in the longitudinal direction of the plates and define a further cavity for leading through a coolant, wherein leadthrough openings for supplying or discharging the medium to be cooled or the coolant are formed approximately in the end regions of each elongate plate and each elongate plate is surrounded by a bent-off edge, wherein an nth corrugation of the corrugated profile of each plate is drawn close to the edge, preferably into the edge, whereas the other corrugations of the corrugated profile of the plate terminate before the edge, where n=2, 3, 4 etc.

Stacked plate heat exchanger

A heat exchanger, especially a charge-air cooler or exhaust-gas cooler, with a tube-to-tubesheet sub-assembly, in which tubes are inserted in a sealed manner by their ends into openings of two oppositely-disposed tubesheets, wherein at least one region of a housing is arranged between the two tubesheets and encompasses and outwardly seals the tubes of the sub-assembly, wherein the two tubesheets have two sides extending parallel to each other and adjoining an end region of the tubes in each case, and on which is arranged in each case a housing section which is connected to the housing, wherein on at least one of the tubesheets a seal is arranged with sealing effect between the housing and this tubesheet and/or between this tubesheet and the housing section which is arranged on this tubesheet.

The present invention relates to a heat exchanger for controlling the temperature of a first fluid using a second fluid, wherein the heat exchanger has a base for separating the first fluid from the second fluid, said base having a sealing region. Furthermore, the heat exchanger has a partition for separating the first fluid from the second fluid, wherein the at least one partition is connected in a fluid-tight manner to the base, wherein the at least one partition forms a fluid duct for the first fluid. Furthermore, the heat exchanger has a housing. In the sealing region between the base and the housing, there is arranged a sealing element which is pressed in a fluid-tight manner against the base and against the housing.

Heat exchanger for controlling the temperature of a first fluid using a second fluid

A heat exchanger which is especially used as an oil cooler in the motor vehicle industry includes interconnected plates. Outwardly closed cavities are embodied between the plates and are alternately supplied with a first or second medium by at least one supply line and one discharge line, and a corresponding medium flows through them. The plates are profiled in such a way that contact points are created between the respective profiles of the plate, and the plates are interconnected in the region of the contact points. The plates are designed such that the current from the first or second medium forming between the plates, from the corresponding supply line to the corresponding discharge line, does not follow a linear path.

Heat exchanger and method for the production thereof

The invention relates to a stacked plate heat exchanger (), in particular, an oil cooler for motor vehicles, made up into an assembly from alternating dished plates and baffle sheets (), stacked one on top of and inside the other, each comprising first and second through openings (), for the formation of distribution and collector channels, which are welded together to form said first and second flow channels, whereby the baffle sheets () form a stay between the stacked plates and the assembly is enclosed by a base plate () and a cover plate ().

Stacked plate heat exchanger in particular an oil cooler for motor vehicles

A plate heat exchanger comprising a plurality of plates () which are stacked against each other and which are of a first and second type in order to form flow channels for a first and second medium. The plates form a heat exchanger block () with an upper side and a lower side and with two opposite side surfaces () and front faces (). The first flow channels are peripherally sealed for the first medium and are fluidically connected to distributor and collector channels which are arranged in a vertical position with respect to the plate plane and which lead into inlet and outlet connection pieces () which are respectively arranged on the upper side and/or lower side (). The second flow channels are open at the front surfaces () thereof and are sealed at the side surfaces () thereof. The open sides () form an inlet and outlet plane for the second medium.
