A method for producing a stator includes the steps of: providing a stator, which has one or more windings and a winding head, the winding head having one or more cable ends; positioning a phase connection assembly by way of a retaining element on the winding head, the phase connection assembly having at least one cable element; connecting the at least one cable element to a corresponding cable end of the winding head; and removing the retaining element.

A cooling device for cooling a stator for an electric machine of a motor vehicle having a coolant-conducting unit and at least one winding groove cooling channel is provided. The coolant-conducting unit and the at least one winding groove cooling channel are connectable to a hollow-cylindrical lamination stack of the stator having, in a circumferential direction, a plurality of winding grooves which extend axially and receive windings of the stator. The coolant-conducting unit is arranged on an end face of the lamination stack, conducts coolant along the end face, and has an inlet for supplying the coolant and an outlet for discharging the coolant, and the at least one winding groove cooling channel extending axially from the coolant unit is arranged in at least one winding groove, conducts the coolant in the at least one winding groove, and is fluid-coupled to the inlet and the outlet.

A cooling cap for a stator of an electrical machine of a motor vehicle is provided. The cooling cap can be fitted onto an end winding of electrical windings of the stator which project beyond an axial end of a laminated core of the stator and which cooling cap is designed as a heat sink for cooling the end winding, wherein the cooling cap is formed, at least in regions, from an electrical insulating material. A stator and a motor vehicle including the cooling cap are also provided.

A cooling device for a stator of an electrical machine, for fitting together with a hollow cylindrical laminated core of the stator, includes multiple cooling channels for conducting cooling fluid along the laminated core, and a fluid ring for provision on an end face of the laminated core. The fluid ring has two fluid ring channels for distributing the cooling fluid to the cooling channels and for receiving the cooling fluid from the cooling channels, and at least two cooling fluid connections for introducing and removing the cooling fluid into and from the fluid ring channels. The fluid ring channels have circumferential-angle-dependent flow cross-sections in the flow direction, in order to evenly distribute the cooling fluid to the cooling channels.

A method and a system are provided for controlling waste heat generated by a motor vehicle having an electric drive including a rechargeable battery and an electric machine for driving the motor vehicle. The method includes determining the thermal load on at least two components of the electric drive; if a first electric component of the electric drive has a lower thermal load than a second electric component, actuating the electric drive such that the generation of waste heat in the first electric component increases and the generation of waste heat in the second electric component does not increase; and if the second electric component has a lower thermal load than the first electric component, actuating the electric drive such that the generation of waste heat in the second electric component increases and the generation of waste heat in the first electric component does not increase.
