An implantable pressure sensor device () has a housing () which is at least partially made of a pressure transmitting membrane (), and which includes one or more regions which can reversibly deform while maintaining the surface area of the membrane () when the internal volume of the housing () is changed. The housing () has a non-circular cross-section which can deform to a more circular shape when pressure in the internal volume increases. An inner housing is preferably situated within the housing, with its exterior spaced from the interior of the housing, and has its inner volume in fluid communication with the space between the housing and inner housing.

An extracorporeal physiological measurement device is disclosed, having fastening means for attaching to the body of a person or animal, measurement means for detection of values of a physiological measured variable on the body, and movement-detecting means and measured-value-influencing means connected thereto at the input for influencing the detected measured values before processing or storage as a function of a position or movement status of the body or the measurement device detected by the detection means such that the measured-value-influencing means have a unit for detection of a shift in position between the measurement device and the body.

A swallowing stimulation system has a swallowing stimulator for use in triggering an act of swallowing in a patient. The swallowing system has an operating unit including operating elements for receiving user inputs, whereby the operating elements are allocated to different possible physical properties of a food, such that a user can allocate a particular food by means of the operating elements to at least one of at least two categories. The operating unit is designed to generate a control signal corresponding to a user input for the swallowing stimulator, and the swallowing stimulator is designed so that a stimulus for triggering an act of swallowing is formed in response to the control signal.

An implantable electrostimulation device having at least three input channels, (each forming a sensing channel), which are each connected to at least one electrode or to one terminal for an electrode, using which at least three different electrical potentials accompanying an excitation of cardiac tissue (myocardium) in a heart may be detected. Uses a signal processing unit which is connected to the input channels and is implemented to analyze the time curve of the potentials detected via the three sensing channels as three input signals in chronological relation to a periodically repeating trigger signal, which triggers a time window, and which is also implemented to detect predefined signal features for each of the three input signals within the time window triggered by the trigger signal, store them, and compare them to corresponding signal features of preceding time windows or of another input channel within the same time window.

Stimulation system, comprising an implantable stimulation device (), at least one implantable stimulation electrode () and at least one initializing sensor (), whereby the initializing sensor () is configured to detect in the implanted state a voluntarily controlled muscle movement, a voluntarily induced brainwave or a voluntarily generated nerve pulse of a patient during the initial phase of a swallowing process and to generate a sensor signal in response thereto either continuously or in a clocked cycle or in response to the preceding and to send this signal to the stimulation device (), and whereby the stimulation device () is configured to trigger the delivery of a stimulation pulse via the stimulation electrode () in response to such a sensor signal of the initializing sensor () which is based on a voluntarily initiated swallowing process.

Endocardial or intravascular cardiac pacemaker having a sealed housing, in which a battery and a pacemaker controller connected to the battery, as well as at least one stimulation pulse generator, are situated, the housing being oblong and having a length of less than 70 mm and a cross-sectional area of less than 100 mmand carrying at least two electrodes, each of which has an outwardly directed, electrically conductive surface and is implemented as a stimulation electrode and is at least sometimes electrically connected to the stimulation pulse generator via an electrical connection situated in the interior of the housing.
