A diagnostic device for motor vehicles includes at least one first interface for reading out error status information from a memory of a motor vehicle, at least one second interface for receiving and/or transmitting community content and error status information, an operating device for operating the diagnostic device by a user, a display device for displaying the information, and a processing device for processing the information, the processing device being connected to the first and the second interfaces and the processing device being designed to transmit and process the community content and error status information with the aid of the first and/or the second interfaces and to display this information with the aid of a display device. A diagnostic method for motor vehicles, a diagnostic system, as well as a use of a diagnostic device are also described.

Diagnostic device for motor vehicles and diagnostic method

A device is described for generating an electric voltage by which a body of a capacitive and/or inductive sensor capable of vibration, such as a capacitive micromechanical rotational rate sensor in particular, is induced to vibrate. In order to reduce the manufacturing cost of the sensor, a voltage generating device is provided which induces a constant mechanical deflection of the body capable of vibration, this deflection being independent of the manufacturing tolerances of the sensor.

Sensor-independent oscillation amplitude control

A method and an apparatus for synchronous demodulation of the multiply modulated rotation rate signal of a rotation rate sensor which comprises a spring-mass system that oscillates at its natural resonant frequency, and at least one capacitor for ascertaining a Coriolis effect acting on the spring-mass system or a rotation rate, the rotation rate being ascertained by a time-variable capacitance change, brought about by the rotation rate, of the at least one capacitor by multiple demodulation of a multiply modulated electrical signal that comprises a time-variable first electrical signal and a second electrical signal, overlaid thereon, at the natural resonant frequency of the rotation rate sensor, the amplitude of the second electrical signal of the time-variable capacitance change of the at least one capacitor being correspondingly modulated. To substantially reduce the outlay for synchronous demodulation, the first electrical signal is generated so that it exhibits a time-invariant phase relationship to the natural resonant frequency of the rotation rate sensor.

Method and apparatus for synchronous demodulation of multiply modulated signals

A method is described for balancing the phase-locked loop of an electronic analyzing device which analyzes the output signal of a sensor device, a yaw rate sensor in particular using the Coriolis effect having an oscillating mass which undergoes a deflection under the effect of an external yaw rate on the sensor device and the output signal representing a yaw rate signal, the electronic analyzing device having in addition to the phase-locked loop, a control loop, a quadrature control loop in particular, and the control loop is provided with a controller having an input and an output as well as with a modulator or mixer having an input which has a first electrical connection with the output of the controller. In order to reduce the percentage of sensor devices produced which, however, cannot be balanced the first electrical connection is interrupted between the output of the controller and the input of the mixer and a second electrical connection is produced between the output of the controller and the input of the mixer, the second electrical connection being made by connecting an attenuating element in between.

Method for adjusting the phase-locking loop of an electronic evaluation device and corresponding electronic evaluation device

Micromechanical comb structure includes a first comb device having a plurality of prongs and a second comb device having a plurality of prongs. The prongs of the first comb device and the prongs of the second comb device mesh with one another so that they are arranged side-by-side in pairs to form measuring capacitors. The prongs of at least one of the comb devices are designed to produce a variation in the mechanical natural frequencies of the prongs.
