A mirror head is connected to the second end of the mirror support by a snap connection. The snap connection has at least one catch member provided on a projection of the mirror head. The catch member or members engage a projecting rim of a receptacle provided on the mirror support.

An adjusting mechanism for an external rear view mirror for motor vehicles is provided. The adjusting mechanism includes a mirror glass holder connected to a drive housing. An interior rearview mirror for vehicles has a housing having an interior. A mirror support has a first end and a second end, wherein the housing is connected to the first end of the mirror support and wherein the first end projects into the interior of the housing. A mirror pane is mounted in an opening of the housing. A switching member is mounted in the interior of the housing and is pivotable on the first end of the mirror support. An adjusting lever is mounted in the housing and projects from the housing. At least one spring is configured to act on the adjusting lever. The adjusting lever is movable against a force of the at least one spring and acts on the switching member for pivoting the mirror pane from a normal viewing position into a non-glare position. The switching member receives the force of the at least one spring exerted onto the adjusting lever and thus prevents deformation of the housing.

An external rearview mirror for motor vehicles includes a support having a spherical inner support surface and a mirror holder pivotably connected to the support. At least one guide element for supporting the mirror holder in a selected position relative to the support is provided. The at least one guide element has a curved outer surface resting at the spherical inner support surface. At least one spring for securing face-to-face the curved outer surface of the at least one guide element at the spherical inner support surface is provided.

External rearview mirror for vehicles, especially for motor vehicles

An interior rearview mirror for a vehicle. The mirror includes a mirror bracket that by means of a ball-and-socket joint carries a mirror housing that is provided with a mirror glass mounted on a glass carrier that together with the housing can be shifted between a first position and a second position by a knob. The glass carrier is pivotably connected to a support, and a swivel plate is fixedly connected to the knob. A guide pin is disposed on the swivel plate and engages a guide of the support for interconnecting the support and the swivel plate. A stop is disposed on the swivel plate and in one of the positions of the glass carrier rests against the outer surface of the guide.
