A coated abrasive product having a backing bearing abrasive grains on one major surface thereof and a pressure-sensitive adhesive, coatable from water, on the other major surface thereof. The pressure-sensitive adhesive can be used to secure the coated abrasive to a support pad or back-up pad. The support pad provides the coated abrasive with the necessary foundation during abrading operations. The pressure-sensitive adhesives of this invention can adequately secure the coated abrasive to the support pad even at high rotation speeds and at high grinding pressures. Previously known pressure-sensitive adhesives for coated abrasives that are coatable from water were unable to provide this property.

Pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, sheet material coated therewith, and a kit for installing insulation around windows comprising the coated sheet material. The adhesive composition consists essentially of a first component consisting essentially of a tackified, emulsifiable adhesive and a second component consisting essentially of at least one terminally unsaturated vinyl monomer, at least one vinyl-unsaturated, homopolymerizable, emulsifier monomer, and, optionally a small amount of an external emulsifier. The adhesive provides high tack and excellent adhesion at both low temperatures and high temperatures, thus rendering it suitable for outdoor use in areas that encounter extremes of weather.

Pressure-sensitive adhesive having broad useful temperature range

Composition suitable for removing paint, grease, dirt and other foreign materials from the skin. The composition comprises propylene carbonate, water, at least one organic cosolvent, at least one thickening agent, at least one neutralizing agent, and at least one surfactant. In a preferred embodiment, the composition further includes a mild abrasive, wood flour, to promote the cleaning action of the propylene carbonate.

Skin cleaning compositions are disclosed comprising a conventional skin cleaning base having incorporated therein 0.3 to 32 percent by weight of water-insoluble glass bubbles. The glass bubbles aid in cleaning and removing stains from the skin without imparting abrasive feel.
