A method for boosting a braking force in an electronically slip-controllable vehicle brake system, as well as an electronically slip-controllable vehicle brake system. Vehicle brake systems of this kind are at least equipped with a power brake unit and electronic slip-controllable vehicle brake system. In the case of a malfunction of the power brake unit, the traction-slip control device () takes over the boosting. A method for determining a composite signal which is adjusted by controlling a drive of a pressure generator of the slip-controllable vehicle brake system accordingly. To this end, an electronic control unit records two mutually independent input quantities, converts these input quantities into evaluation signals and sums the evaluation signals mathematically to yield a composite signal. The latter represents a setpoint brake pressure that the slip-controllable vehicle brake system supplies by controlling a pressure generator accordingly.

As a result of the provision of two gear paths, the loading of each gear path is halved and an application of force to a booster body, which forms a gear output, is symmetrical.

The invention relates to a method for operating a braking system for motor vehicles with electrically actuated hydraulic valves, the coils of which are powered up, at least in phases, with currents which modify the currentless state of the hydraulic valves, in order to heat the hydraulic fluid present in the system. The hydraulic fluid is heated via a heating profile which, in accordance with the hydraulic fluid temperature, activates the heating phase of the hydraulic fluid. The heating profile consists of a first heating phase and, subsequent thereto, a second heating phase. During the first heating phase, the coils are powered up in such a way that the coil temperature at the end of the first heating phase corresponds to a pre-defined temperature value of the coil which is at least approximately maintained during the second heating phase when powering up the coils.

An electromagnetically actuatable valve for brake systems in motor vehicles, comprises a hydraulic part and an electric part. The valve is partially placed inside a valve block, in which an inlet borehole and an outlet borehole for a hydraulic fluid are made. The hydraulic part comprises a valve element inside of which a transversal borehole is made that communicates with the inlet borehole. In addition, a number of longitudinal boreholes, which are connected to the outlet borehole, are made in the valve element. The transversal borehole and the longitudinal boreholes are connected via a closing element. The valve enables a controlled opening and closing of the closing element thereby making a low-noise switching of the valve possible.

An electrical coil has a coil body, at least one face-end flange of the coil body, at least one mount for coil wire on the face-end flange, and one tonguelike insulation displacement contact for contacting the coil wire in the mount. Two intersecting slots of different depth are embodied on the mount, and the coil wire rests on the bottom of the slot of lesser depth, while the tonguelike insulation displacement contact is received in the slot of greater depth. Since the slot of lesser depth, in the region of its bottom, has a width which is less than the diameter of the coil wire, the coil wire is firmly clamped in the mount. The electrical coil is particularly useful for use in magnet valves.
