An aqueous oxidizing compositions comprising one or more amino acids and hydrogen peroxide are described. The aqueous oxidizing compositions reduce hair damage during chemical services. The effect of hair damage reduction was found to be further improved when polycarboxylic acids were added to bleaching powder, oxidative dyeing, and permanent waving compositions.

A dyeing composition for keratin fibers having a pH of 6 to 12 comprising a hair dye, 5 wt. % or more of a C-Calcohol, a non-ionic surfactant having an HLB value of 11 or less, a quaternary ammonium surfactant according to Formula (I): wherein Ris a Cto Calkyl or alkylene group, Ris a Cto Calkyl or alkylene group, Rand Rare each independently a Cto Calkyl or alkylene group, and Xis a halide, sulfate, or methosulfate anion, and 0.5 to 10 wt. % of a quaternary ammonium surfactant according to Formula (II): wherein Ris a Cto Calkyl or alkylene group, Ris a Cto Calkyl or alkylene group, Rand Rare each independently a Cto Calkyl or alkylene group, and Yis a halide, sulfate or methosulfate anion.

Dyeing composition in aqueous-alcoholic medium

Present invention relates to a process for permanent waving keratin fibers, especially human hair, for achieving durable waves wherein fibers are treated with a reducing composition, a non-reducing and non-oxidizing alkaline composition, a non-reducing and non-oxidizing acidic composition and finally an oxidizing composition wherein after processing the reducing composition the fibers are rinsed off.

Process for permanent waving keratin fibers

A two-part oxidative dyeing composition is described. The two-part composition has an alkaline first part comprising oxidative dye couplers and/or oxidative dye precursors, and a second part comprising hydrogen peroxide, xanthine and/or its derivatives, and a lipophilic compound. The second part is formulated as water-in-oil emulsion and it was unexpectedly found that xanthines stabilize the viscosity of the second part composition allowing for improved dyeing performance.
