In a computer-implemented method of designing a nuclear reactor of a given reactor plant, an initial, test reactor core design is generated for the given plant based on a plurality of limits input by a user. The limits include a plurality of transient licensing constraints to be satisfied for operating the given plant. The method includes selecting, from a set of automated tools, one or more automated tools to evaluate the test core design, and operating one of more of selected automated tools to output data for display to the user. The displayed data is related to a core design that satisfies the limits inclusive of the transient licensing constraints.

Computer-implemented method and system for designing a nuclear reactor core which satisfies licensing criteria

Systems and methods are provided to implement a technique for managing physics interactions in a computer simulation, such as the interactions of objects in an online computer game. Objects in the simulation are or can become physics objects that then behave according to the rules of the physics simulator in operation. Different implementations can use different rules for how items become physics objects and for what rules are used to manage physics objects. Since physics object interactions are determined on the basis of their physical properties rather than adherence to predefined interactions, the resulting interactions are emergent and not scripted.

A personal water craft is a device having a unitary hull body that includes a substantially horizontal planar deck for supporting an occupant in a pronate position and a shell integral with the deck, wherein the shell is submersible into water. A cushioned pad is affixed adjacent to the deck, thereby providing a comfortable resting position for the occupant. A transparent viewing panel is affixed to the bow end of the hull, thereby forming a window for the occupant to look through. A joystick for controlling the direction of said personal water craft is also included, wherein the joystick is electrically coupled with a battery, a motor and a propeller.

A guide for a circular saw blade provides lateral support for the saw blade when cutting a work piece such as a log. The guide rotates vertically upward and laterally away from the saw blade if the work piece is high enough to extend above the bottom of the guide. Thus the guide provides lateral support for the saw blade without limiting the height of cut that the saw blade can extend into the work piece.
