In a device and method for controlling the driving dynamics of a vehicle having a driver's cab spring mounted with respect to the vehicle frame, the yaw rate and deflection of the driver's cab are detected. A yaw rate sensor is arranged in the driver's cab, and the yaw rate of the vehicle frame is estimated or calculated from the yaw rate and deflection of the driver's cab. If the difference between the estimated or calculated yaw rate of the vehicle frame and a desired yaw rate exceeds a limit value, the brake system and/or the drive are actuated.

Device and method for controlling the driving dynamics of a vehicle

A safeguard feature prevents supply of voltage to an electrical device in the event a protective element is no longer reliably connected in a circuit arrangement for protecting a susceptible component from inadmissible voltage values. The protective element in the circuit arrangement is often conveniently provided in the form of a suppressor diode, which is connected in parallel with the susceptible component to be protected, and which experiences breakdown in case of excessive voltage, thereby causing a short-circuit in the power supply. In the event of such protective response, the suppressor diode may heat up considerably, and that the solder used for electrical and mechanical attachment may liquefy or evaporate. As a result the suppressor diode may become completely or partially unsoldered, so that a reliable protection of the susceptible component is no longer ensured by the shorting of the circuit thereacross. At least one of the conductors going from the power supply system to the protected component is therefore provided with a break location, and one of the connections of the suppressor diode bridges the break location prior to breakdown. If the suppressor diode then becomes unsoldered or otherwise detached from the rest of the protection circuit, the susceptible component is nevertheless protected from the inadmissible voltage since it is isolated therefrom by the discontinuity in the conductor provided by a separation therebetween defined by the break location.

A housing for electric componentry comprises a closed frame in which the electric componentry is received, a first electric connection element which is connected to the electric componentry and passes through a wall of the frame, a second electric connection element which is connected to the first electric connection element, and an electric connection cable which is connected to the second electric connection element. A fastening element fastens the electric connection cable to the frame of the housing in such manner that the cable lies parallel to a flat outer surface of the frame. At least a part of the fastening element is constructed integrally with the housing. In a preferred embodiment, the housing further comprises a cover attached by a hinge to the frame. Further, the fastening element comprises first and second parts which bear upon each other with the electric connection cable therebetween. One of the parts of the fastening element is integral with the cover, so that the electric connection cable is fastened to the housing in proper fashion merely by closing the cover of the housing.

Housing for electric componentry

A housing for an electrical component which protects the electrical component sealed therein and reduces mechanical stress on the electrical component includes two housing sections which are connected to each other, a support for the electrical component located within the housing, and attachment connections for mounting the housing on a mounting point, e.g., of a motor vehicle chassis. To reduce the mechanical stress imposed upon the electrical component, and to obtain a good seal of the housing interior against dirt, etc., the two housing sections are connected to each other directly or via an intermediate piece. The housing interior is sealed by one or two seals, made from elastically or plastically deformable material, which are located between the faces of the support and the housing sections associated with them. The attachment connections are located on one of the two housing sections.

Sealed housing for an electrical component

A circuit for the surveillance of the switching state of a power transistor is constructed such that both, the voltage applied to the power transistor (1) is surveyed by way of a voltage comparator (7), as well as the voltage applied to the load (3) is surveyed by way of a further voltage comparator (8). The comparator (7) in the switched-on state and the comparator (8) in the switched-off state are activated by the input signal (U.sub.IN) of the power transistor (1). The output signals of the two comparators (7, 8) are combined to a status signal (U.sub.Stat). It is possible by way of the proposed circuit to recognize both a short circuit or, respectively, a shunt circuit of the load as well as a leakage current of the power transistor (1) and thus an interruption of the load occurs.
