A semi-rigid axle for a vehicle may include a torsion profile, which extends in a Y direction and is open downward in a Z direction; and two longitudinal control arms, which are connected to the semi-rigid axle and are each connected to the torsion profile by a gusset plate arrangement. Each gusset plate arrangement has a first gusset plate welded to one of the two longitudinal control arms and a second gusset plate arranged at least partially above the first gusset plate. First and second connecting sections of the first and second gusset plates are connected to one another and each of the first and second gusset plates is welded to an inside of the torsion profile on both sides in an X direction.

Semi-rigid axle for a vehicle

An axle for a vehicle, wherein the axle includes a transverse axle portion having a longitudinal end. The axle including a first axle portion connecting the transverse portion to a chassis of the vehicle and a second axle portion connecting the transverse portion to a wheel carrier for supporting a vehicle wheel. A vibration damper is arranged in a receiver in one of the axle portions.

Motor vehicle axle

A vehicle includes a rear wheel suspension including a twist beam axle. The vehicle also includes upper and lower mounts for a spring and each defining a seat. The lower mount is disposed on the axle and the upper mount is disposed at a distance and parallel to the lower mount on a frame member. A first adapter is disposed within the lower mount seat and a second adapter is disposed within the upper mount seat. Each adapter defines a groove to receive an end of the spring, a support extending from the groove within an inner diameter of the spring and a wall disposed along a segment of the groove being configured to maintain a position of the spring.

Seat mounts for side load spring on a twist beam axle

A torsion profile for a twist beam axle of a vehicle is provided and includes a base body having an open hollow cross section. The body comprises first and second end portions adjacent a central portion and a cross section having first and second limbs connected by a central web portion, the cross section having a U-shape or a V-shape. At least one of the limbs varies in length along the longitudinal axis of at least one of the first and second end portions. At least one of the limbs has a flange arranged on a free end thereof, the variation in length of the at least one limb providing the first and second end portions with a continuously varying cross section along the length of the base body.
