A connecting tube for connecting two joint attachments of a steering or track rod. The connecting tube is reinforced by at least one tube section connected by friction force to the connecting tube such that either the entire outer or inside wall the tube section is in contact against a wall of the connecting tube, thereby forming a press fit connection. The steering or the track rod has a connecting tube with end sections that each hold or support components of joint attachments. A method for producing a connecting tube or the steering or the track rod in which first a tube semifabricate of the tube section is positioned within a tube semifabricate of the connecting tube and then the two tube semifabricates are expanded within a connection zone by a mandrel with an oversized section that is moved along the common axial direction of the two tube semifabricates.

A cabin suspension arrangement for a utility vehicle, having a plurality of trailing arms that extend in a longitudinal direction, by which a driver's cabin is mounted and can pivoted relative to a vehicle frame. Two of the trailing arms are arranged spaced apart from one another in a transverse direction that extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction, are connected to one another by a torsion bar spring that extends in the transverse direction, and are arranged at the same height in a vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and to the transverse direction, thereby forming a first trailing arm pair. Two other trailing arms are arranged spaced apart from one another in the transverse direction, are arranged at the same height in the vertical direction, and thereby form a second trailing arm pair, which is spaced apart, in the vertical direction, from the first trailing arm pair.

Cab support arrangement for a utility vehicle

A chassis arrangement (), in particular for utility vehicles (), with at least one axle () that extends transverse to the travel direction and carries wheels (). Movement of the axle () is damped by vibration dampers () provided with end sections (), and with at least one stabilizer assembly () that has two longitudinally extending sections () and a transverse section () that connects the longitudinally extending sections. An end section () of the vibration damper () is held directly on and is connected to the stabilizer assembly () on an extension () of the transversely orientated section () beyond the longitudinal section ().

Chassis system for a motor vehicle

A connecting arrangement for a stabilizer of a vehicle, with at least one lever that extends transversely to a longitudinal direction. The lever has a bearing eye provided with a non-circular inner circumferential contour. A torsion-bar spring with a rotation axis extends in the longitudinal direction. The torsion-bar spring has an outer circumferential contour, at least at one end, that matches the inner circumferential contour of the bearing eye and which fits into the bearing eye. The wall of the bearing eye is cut through by at least one slit extending in the longitudinal direction, by which two opposite wall sections of the wall are separated from one another. The two wall sections are pressed against the non-circular outer circumferential contour of the torsion-bar spring by at least one releasable clamping element.

Connecting arrangement for a stabilizer of a vehicle

A four-point link for the suspension of a rigid axle which has four bearing seats. Two bearing seats can be articulated on the axle and two can be articulated on the vehicle frame. The link has a single-piece link body which is inscribed by the trapezoid formed by the bearing seats. The link body is formed of a fiber-composite arrangement that comprises at least one longitudinal fiber arrangement. The longitudinal fiber arrangement encases the bearing seat, at least along half circumference thereof and extends along at least a portion of the link body in order to optimize loading, reduce mass and increase its application. Torsional compliance makes it possible to use relatively small and/or hard rubber bearings for articulating the four-point link or the vehicle axle.

A motor vehicle, in particular a utility vehicle (UV), with a vehicle frame () and at least one vehicle axle () supported relative to the vehicle frame () by one or more connecting rods (). The suspension system has a spring/damper arrangement and a hydraulic arrangement with hydraulic cylinders on the right and left sides, relative to the driving direction. The hydraulic cylinders are connected in a cross-over manner to form a roll stabilizing device. The suspension system has an upper cross-bridge that is arranged on the driver's cab and a lower cross-bridge that is arranged on the vehicle chassis. The spring/damper arrangement and the hydraulic arrangement are positioned between and connected to the upper and lower cross-bridges.

A twist beam axle for a wheel suspension of a motor vehicle. The twist beam axle has two trailing arms and a torsional profile having prismatic-shaped end sections with a noncircular cross-section. One trailing arm is connected to one torsional profile end section in each case. The trailing arms have a receiving recess having a shape corresponding to that of the outer surface of the torsional profile end section. An inwardly pressed plug is disposed in the interior of each torsional profile end section. The twist beam axle ensures permanent transfers high bending moments and torques between the trailing arms and the torsional profile without a welded joint. Different classes of materials can be used for the torsional profile and trailing arms, or can be connected to one another. The twist beam axle generally makes it possible to use large-volume, thin-walled and, therefore, weight-saving torsional profiles.

Twist beam axle

A suspension device for suspending a mass relative to a substructure. The suspension device comprises a spring/damper arrangement which is disposed between the mass and the substructure and dampens vibrations, and comprises at least one Watt's linkage. At least one of the pivot points of the Watt's linkage is movably connected to the mass and the substructure. The relative position between the pivot point, the mass and the substructure can be adjusted by at least one substantially linearly acting actuator. The suspension device is robust and suitable for determining the vertical degree of freedom of movement of a truck driver's cab, and for damping or preventing undesired movement of the driver's cab. At the same time, undesired rolling or tilting motion of the driver's cab can be actively controlled or prevented by using the actuators.

Suspension device having anti-roll compensation

A connection device for the torque transmitting connection of a connection component () to a hollow shaft (). The connection component () comprises a penetrating recess () corresponding in shape to the outside cross section of the hollow shaft () for receiving one end of the hollow shaft (), and the hollow shaft comprises a press-fit plug () in the area of the connection to the connection component () that forms an interference fit with the inner cross section of the hollow shaft (). Preferably, the connection device is a press-fit plug () additionally designed as a bearing seat () for at least one bearing () assigned to the hollow shaft. The connection device allows durable and reliable transmission of high torques and it is possible to connect further components to the connection between the hollow shaft and the connection component. The connection device allows a reduction in construction space, mass and costs.

Hollow shaft connection device

A suspension system for the spring or damped suspension of a massive body relative to a substructure. The suspension system comprises a spring/damper arrangement disposed between the massive body and the substructure, which comprises at least one damper element and/or at least one spring element for damping shock and/or vibration, and includes a Watt linkage arrangement with at least one Watt linkage. At least one spring element and/or at least one damper element is arranged in the area of a Watt link between the Watt link and the bearing seat associated with the Watt link.

A junction connection is provided that is used to connect a torque transmitting junction component () to a hollow shaft (). The junction component () includes a continuous recess which has a shape which corresponds to the outer cross-section of the hollow shaft () and which is used to receive the hollow shaft (). The hollow shaft () includes a press stopper () in the connection area between the hollow shaft () and the junction component (). The press stopper () forms, at least sectionally, a press fit with the wall of the hollow shaft (). The junction connection enables the transmission of comparatively high torque during the entire service life thereof. The junction connection is also compatible with thin-walled, light-weight hollow shafts. The junction connection limits production costs, mounting and maintenance.

A suspension device is provided for the spring-loaded suspension of a weight body () relative to a substructure () such as a vehicle body, a cab () of a truck relative to the vehicle chassis (). The suspension device has a spring/absorber device () arranged between the weight body () and the substructure () for absorbing shocks and vibrations. The suspension device includes at least one Watt's linkage arrangement () connecting the weight body and the substructure for reducing the degrees of freedom of motion of the weight body (). The suspension device requires little maintenance and has little clearance and is suitable for setting the degrees of freedom of motion of the weight body as well as for absorbing and preventing the undesired motions of the weight body along other directions in space. The suspension device thus makes possible an inexpensive and reliably operating suspension especially of truck cabs.
