A paint gun for atomizing (in particular by way of compressed-air-assisted atomization) and applying a coating material such as a paint has a material-guiding part, a non-material-guiding part, and a transmitting and/or receiving device for wireless signal transmission. In order to increase the functional reliability and provide optimal operability in the environment in which the coating material is applied, the transmitting and/or receiving device for wireless signal transmission is arranged at a distance from the material-guiding part and is associated with the non-material-guiding part. Alternatively or additionally, an increased functional reliability is achieved by designing the transmitting and/or receiving device for wireless signal transmission in accordance with two different radio standards. Furthermore, a material application system comprising such a paint gun as well as a method for operating same are described.

A skull mounting system for headgear, preferably a respirator hood, includes a headband with a front headband and a rear headband. The front headband extends around at least the front of the head of the wearer and the rear headband is found on the back of the head of the wearer, and at least one upper headband is provided that extends over the top of the head of the wearer. A skull mounting system for headgear, preferably for a respirator hood, is described. The skull mounting system comprises a headband with a front head strap, which extends around the front of the head of a wearer, and a rear head strap, which is found on the back of the head of the wearer. The rear head strap is connected to the front head strap by means of two swivel joints. The swivel joints are at least partially freely rotatable in a corresponding adjustment position and are not rotatable in a corresponding locked position.

A fastening unit, in particular a fastening unit for modules which are intended to supply a user of a breathing mask or breathing hood with breathable air, and to such modules. The fastening unit is designed to secure one module relative to another module, and has a first component part for assembly with the other module and a second component part for assembly with the module. The second component part is rotatable, by means of the first component part, about a predetermined angle relative to the first component part; and first and second subcomponents within the region of the defined angle can engage with each other in a plurality of positions.

A temperature control device for heating and/or cooling gases or gas mixtures, in particular for use in the respiratory protection sector. The temperature control device has a housing, a compressed air input, a supply output and a vortex tube with an air inlet, a hot air outlet and a cold air outlet. The vortex tube is installable in at least two final assembly arrangements. In a first arrangement, there is a fluid-conducting connection between the cold air outlet of the vortex tube and the supply output of the temperature control device and, in a second arrangement, there is a fluid-conducting connection between the hot air outlet of the vortex tube and the supply output of the temperature control device. By this configuration, the temperature control device is both a device for heating and cooling respiratory air from mainly the same components with little additional outlay on production and little additional effort during assembly.

An activated carbon adsorber, in particular an activated carbon adsorber for use by a user of an externally ventilated breathing mask or breathing hood. The activated carbon adsorber includes a housing for accommodating a filter cartridge, and the housing has the following features: an air inlet supply port to receive compressed air from an air supply unit; a connector for connecting to a breathing mask or hood; a unit which can be fastened to the body of or to or on the housing of the activated carbon adsorber and which is capable of forming a detachable connection with another component in particular a sliding or slip connection.

A spray gun with a gun body having a handle region and having a head which is equipped with a cartridge which has an angled, tubular region as an inlet for a material-conducting channel which runs through the cartridge and ends in an outlet region which is arranged at the front end of the head of the spray gun, wherein the inlet region of the cartridge is connected or is connectable to a storage container for the material to be sprayed, and wherein the cartridge preferably guides at least one material-conducting component of the spray gun. The cartridge is held fixedly, but releasably, on the head of the spray gun by means of a screw collar ring, wherein the screw collar ring is preferably supported on the cartridge and/or on or in the head of the spray gun by at least one mechanism.
