A method for operating a vehicle in an area in which pedestrians may be present. The method including at least the following steps: a) receiving at least one operating parameter of the vehicle; b) determining at least one indicator for visually displaying a present and/or future movement state of the vehicle for a pedestrian; and c) visualizing the at least one indicator in the surroundings of the vehicle.

Visual safety indicator

A method for operating a processing unit. The processing unit addresses virtual memory areas in order to access a RAM memory unit and these individual virtual memory areas respectively being mapped onto a physical memory area of the RAM memory unit. A check of the RAM memory unit for errors is performed. If, in the course of this check, a physical memory area of the RAM memory unit is determined to be faulty, this faulty physical memory area is designated as faulty. A check is performed to determine whether a free physical memory area exists in RAM memory unit onto which no virtual memory area is mapped and which is not designated as faulty. If such a free physical memory area exists, the virtual memory area that is currently mapped onto the physical memory area recognized as faulty is henceforth mapped onto this free physical memory area.

Method for operating a processing unit

A method of authentication for delivery of a product to a recipient. The method includes: a customer generating a public and a private cryptographic key in accordance with an asymmetrical encryption; the customer providing the public cryptographic key for the deliverer; the deliverer generating a message encrypted using the public cryptographic key; transmitting the encrypted message to the recipient for authentication; generating a plain text of the encrypted message in that the recipient decrypts the encrypted message using the private key; transmitting the plain text to the deliverer; and the deliverer authenticating the recipient if the transmitted plain text matches the message.
