The invention relates to an electrical terminal element for pushing through an opening, in particular a round opening, in an elastic material along a pushing through direction of the terminal element, comprising a contact part which has a connection section for the electrical and mechanical connection of the terminal element to an electrical lead, a dilating section and a contact section for the contacting of another terminal element arranged in series in the pushing through direction and comprising a reception part which at least partly surrounds the contact part in the region of the contact section and adjoins the dilating section. The invention also relates to a method for the manufacture of a terminal element in accordance with the invention.

Electrical terminal element

The plug contact element for the at least partial pushing through an opening, in particular a round opening, in an elastic material along a push through direction of the plug contact element comprises a housing part having at least two wall regions which are substantially planar and inclined with respect to one another at least at a front side of the housing part and which are connected to one another via an arched or bent connection region, with the housing part having at least one indentation which opens to a front side of the housing part which lies in the push through direction and of which the indentation edge at least partly forms a front-side edge of the arched or bent connection region, with the indentation edge having an apex or a tangent which is orthogonal to the push through direction, the apex or tangent being provided only at the boundary between the connection region and one of the bordering wall regions or at one of the bordering wall regions.

Plug contact element and a method for manufacturing a housing part for same

A battery disconnection system (10) for a motor vehicle comprising a rod (12) having a longitudinal axis (A), an external threaded surface (14) extending from one end and a cylindrical member (16) extending coaxially with the rod (12), from the other end. Reversible drive means (20,22,24) engage the threaded surface (14). A first annular member (30) coaxial and in sliding contact with the cylindrical member (16). A second annular member (32) coaxial and in sliding contact with the cylidrical member (16). Either annular member being connectable with a motor vehicle battery. The other annular member being connectable with a starter motor and/or a generator (38) of a motor vehicle. The reversible drive means (20,22,24) moves the rod (12) in a longitudinal direction (X) between a first position in which the cylindrical member (16) engages and electrically connects the annular members (30,32) for normal operation of the motor vehicle, and a second position in which the cylindrical member (16) is disengaged from one of the annular members (30,32) during sensed adverse conditions such as a vehicle crash.
