The body structure is connected to the installation protection structure, whereby the space for accommodating the HV energy storage is sealingly closed.

The battery installation includes a receptacle installation for providing a receptacle space for at least one battery module having at least one battery cell. The receptacle installation includes an upper part-structure which delimits the receptacle space in an upward and/or a lateral manner, and a lower part-structure which delimits the receptacle space in a downward manner. The lower part-structure herein includes an upper component that is configured so as to be planar, and a lower component that is configured so as to be planar, and at least one reinforcement component that is disposed between the upper component and the lower component and is configured as a hollow profile.

A battery module includes a battery module housing and a plurality of battery cells accommodated by the battery module housing. The battery module housing includes a main component for accommodating the battery cells and at least one additional component. The main component is of integral design and surrounds the battery cells from four sides. The additional component includes recesses for receiving a medium for temperature control. The recesses are closed by connecting the additional component to the main component to form media-carrying ducts. The main component is of open design on averted end sides. An automotive high-voltage energy accumulator includes a housing structure; a plurality of battery modules disposed in a housing space of the housing structure, wherein the housing structure closes the housing space at least in a lateral and/or downward manner; and a housing cover that closes the housing space of the housing structure at least in an upward manner. The housing cover has a multi-layered construction and includes a lower metal layer and an upper metal layer. The lower metal layer and the upper metal layer are mutually disposed so as to be substantially vertically spaced apart, define a cover space therebetween, and are fixedly interconnected at peripheries. A plastics core layer substantially fills the cover space and mechanically interconnects the two metal layers.

A method is provided for connecting a tubular structural element to a braided hose. The method includes placing the braided hose in the tubular structural element, placing a blow hose in the braided hose and applying internal pressure to expand the braided hose into contact with the tubular structural member. Heat then is applied to cure an adhesion promoter to achieve a positive materially integral connection of the braided profile to the tubular structural member.
