A chemical preservative including phenoxyethanol, 2-butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one and N,N-bis(3-aminopropyl) dodecylamine; its use to inhibit and/or to control the growth of microorganisms in a technical composition.

Storage-stable microbicidal concentrates and use thereof as preservatives

A preparation including a) at least one N-formal and b) at least one dialkylhydroxylamine. The preparation is preferably formulated as a concentrate. The preparation can be used (in particular in the form of the concentrate) for the reduction of free oxygen and the preservation of water, and also correspondingly additivated water. The mixture of N-formals with dialkylhydroxylamine is not only outstandingly compatible, but considerably improves the activity of dialkylhydroxylamines as oxygen scavengers.

Liquid preparation for the reduction of free oxygen and the preservation of water

The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising a) 3,3'-methylenebis(5-methyl oxazolidine) and b) one or more additives selected from among (i) urea, urea derivatives, amino acids, guanidine and guanidine derivatives and (ii) 1,2-diols in the removal of sulphur compounds from process streams. The composition is preferably used in the removal of hydrogen sulphide from process streams.

The invention relates to a preparation comprising a) 10 to 80% by weight of &#x3b1;,&#x3b1;',&#x3b1;&#x2033;-trimethyl-1,3,5-triazine-1,3,5-(2H,4H,6H) triethanol (TTT) and b) one or more additives selected from i) ammonia, ii) alkanolamines with primary amino group and alkyl group having at most eight carbon atoms and iii) alkylamines with primary amino group and alkyl group having at most eight carbon atoms, where the weight ratio a):b) is in the range from 100:30 to 100:1. The preparation is present as semi-concentrate and has an advantageously lower viscosity, is moreover storage-stable, in particular storage-stable over a long period.

Preservative for technical products

Disclosed is a storage-stable condensation product prepared from 1-amino-2-propanol and formaldehyde in a molar ratio in the range from 1:2.0 to 1:3.1. The condensation product contains less than 10% by weight of water. Also, disclosed is the preparation of the condensation product and the use thereof for reducing the amount of hydrogen sulphide in liquids and gases.

The use solution is preferably in the form of technical and domestic products.

A microbicidal composition in the form of a concentrate includes a) one or more isothiazolin-3-ones, b) one or more organic amines with an alkyl group having at least 8 carbon atoms and c) one or more oxidizing agents. The concentrate is storage-stable and is used for the preservation of technical and domestic products.
