Methods and apparatus related to providing steps for completing a task based on analysis of multiple sources. A how-to query related to performing a task and a plurality of sources related to the how-to query may be identified. A set of steps related to performing the task may be determined based on analysis of the plurality of sources that are related to the how-to query, optionally including determining a confidence measure for the plurality of sources. The set of steps may be associated with the how-to query in a database. The set of steps may be provided to a user in response to the how-to query submitted by the user. In some implementations the analysis of the plurality of sources that are related to the how-to query may include comparing components of different sets of steps and identifying the common elements to determine a set of steps.

Systems and techniques are provided for aggregation of asynchronous trust outcomes in a mobile device. Trust levels may be determined from the signals. Each trust level may be determined independently of any other trust level. Each trust level may be determined based on applying to the signals heuristics, mathematical optimization, decisions trees, machine learning systems, or artificial intelligence systems. An aggregated trust outcome may be determined by aggregating the trust levels. Aggregating the trust levels may include applying heuristics, mathematical optimization, decisions trees, machine learning systems, or artificial intelligence systems to the trust levels, and wherein the aggregated trust outcome; and sending the aggregated trust outcome to be implemented by the enabling, disabling, or relaxing of at least one security measure based on the aggregated trust outcome.

A method for reproducing authored content within a visual manipulation software environment includes displaying the authored content, such as an individual drawing stroke, in a manner that enables the end-user to experience the temporal dynamics associated with the creation of each drawing stroke or action performed by the author when creating the content. Each individual drawing stroke created by the author may be displayed in a tutorial with the same speed and direction used by the author to create the stroke, and can then be used as a guidance curve by the end-user. End-user input corresponding to the displayed author content is then received and used to generate an end-user version of the displayed content.

A task and a plurality of how-to videos related to the task may be identified. A how-to video may be selected and a plurality of video segments of the selected how-to video may be determined. One or more video segments may be associated with one or more task attributes that relate to performing the task. The selected video may be provided to a user and segmented, indexed, and/or annotated based on the associated video segments. In some implementations a given object utilized in performing the task may be identified and one or more video segments corresponding to the given object may be identified and/or provided to the user.
