A dissolvable solid structure that is formed by a homogeneous mixture. The mixture includes from about 1% to about 10% of a first polymeric structurant having a molecular weight of from about 1,000,000 g/mol to about 4,000,000 g/mol, from about 10% to about 20% of a second polymeric structurant having a molecular weight of from about 50,000 g/mol to about 500,000 g/mol, from about 10 wt % to about 85 wt % of one or more high melting point fatty material having a carbon chain length C12-C22 or mixtures thereof and a melting point above 25° C., and from about 1 wt % to about 60 wt % of a cationic surfactant. The dissolvable solid structures can provide an adequate strength during manufacturing, while not deteriorating usage feel when used and/or applied by consumers.

Dissolvable solid structure comprising first and second polymeric structurants

The Dissolvable Solid Structure as described herein can be in the form of a fibrous structure comprising: (a) a polymeric structurant; (b) a high melting point fatty compound such as a fatty amphiphile, and (c) a cationic surfactant. The polymeric structurant has a weight average molecular weight of from about 10,000 to about 6,000,000 g/mol, and the components of the fibrous material form a homogenous material when molten. When water is added to the dissolvable solid structure at a ratio of about 5:1 a lamellar structure is formed.

Compositions in the form of dissolvable solid structures

A fibrous structure with a plurality of fibrous elements. The fibrous elements contain a polymeric structurant; a fatty material with a melting point above 25&#xb0; C.; a cationic surfactant, which can be selected from the group consisting of a mono-long alkyl amine, a tertiary amine, and combinations thereof; and an oil soluble acid. The oil soluble acid can be selected from the group consisting of salicylic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid, malic acid, succinic acid, sorbic acid, 2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, maleic acid, and combinations thereof.

Fibrous structures containing cationic surfactants and soluble acids

The present invention relates to a composition comprising an effective amount of a particulate zinc material, an effective amount of a detersive surfactant including a surfactant with an anionic functional group, an effective amount of a pyrithione or a polyvalent metal salt of a pyrithione, a dispersed gel network phase comprising: i) at least about 0.05% of one or more fatty amphiphiles, by weight of said shampoo composition; ii) at least about 0.01% of one or more secondary surfactants, by weight of said shampoo composition; and iii) water; and at least about 20% of an aqueous carrier, by weight of said shampoo composition.

Composition comprising a particulate zinc material, a pyrithione or a polyvalent metal salt of a pyrithione and a gel network

A shampoo composition having from about 5% to about 50% of a combination of sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth-n sulfate, less than 3.82% of sodium laureth-n sulfate having n&#x3e;1. The shampoo composition further includes from about 0.5% to about 3% of a co-surfactant selected from the group consisting of amphoteric, zwitterionic, and nonionic surfactants. The shampoo composition has a dispersed gel network phase having at least 0.05% of one or more fatty alcohols, at least 0.01% of one or more secondary surfactants, and water. The shampoo composition further includes at least about 20% of an aqueous carrier. The shampoo composition further has an enthalpy of transition from about 0 J/g to about 0.2 J/g as measured according to differential scanning calorimetry in a peak melt transition temperature range between about 18&#xb0; C. to about 30&#xb0; C.

Shampoo composition containing a gel network

Shampoo compositions comprising at least one surfactant; a silicone oil having an internal phase viscosity of less than about 50,000 cst, wherein said silicone oil is present as a preformed microemulsion of particles having an average particle size of less than about 0.15 microns, a cationic deposition polymer; an aqueous carrier and optionally a stabilizing agent provide a substantially clear shampoo composition, which provides superior conditioning to hair and/or skin while also providing excellent storage stability and high optical transparency or translucency.

Conditioning shampoo compositions

Shampoo compositions comprise (a) from about 5% to about 50% of one or more detersive surfactants, by weight of the shampoo composition; (b) a dispersed gel network phase comprising, by weight of the shampoo composition, (i) at least about 0.05% of one or more fatty amphiphiles; (ii) at least about 0.01% of one or more secondary surfactants; and (iii) water; and (c) at least about 20% of an aqueous carrier, by weight of the shampoo composition. A process for preparing a shampoo composition comprises the steps of: (a) combining a fatty amphiphile, a secondary surfactant, and water at a temperature sufficient to allow partitioning of the secondary surfactant and the water into the fatty amphiphile to form a pre-mix; (b) cooling the pre-mix below the chain melt temperature of the fatty amphiphile to form a gel network; (c) adding the gel network to one or more detersive surfactants and an aqueous carrier to form a shampoo composition.
