The subject disclosure relates to features that improve safety for autonomous vehicle (AV) driving maneuvers. In some aspects, a process of the disclosed technology includes steps for detecting an unprotected maneuver, navigating an AV into an intersection, and detecting a wheel safety angle relative to the intersection. In some aspects, the process further includes steps for automatically adjusting a wheel angle of the AV based on the wheel safety angle. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

The subject disclosure relates to features that improve safety for autonomous vehicle (AV) maneuvers and in particular, that improve safety for parallel parking. A process of the disclosed technology includes steps for initiating a parking maneuver, navigating the AV into a parking location, and detecting a roadway grade with respect to a direction of the AV. In some aspects, the process can further include steps for automatically adjusting a wheel angle of the AV based on the roadway grade with respect to the direction of the AV. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

System for parking an autonomous vehicle

Systems and methods for an autonomous vehicle interactive experience platform. An interactive experience platform is provided that utilizes vehicle sensors, as well as in-cabin hardware and software, and fleet management information, to provide a unique and personalized autonomous vehicle interactive experience. The interactive experience platform can use external factors to influence in-experience elements. In some examples, the interactive experience platform can use in-experience events to influence autonomous vehicle behavior.

Autonomous vehicle interactive experience platform

An autonomous vehicle (AV) implements a health protocol that may reduce pathogen transmission between users of the AV. The AV is equipped with a thermal sensor that captures a body temperature of a user. The AV compares the user's temperature to a threshold temperature, and if the user's temperature exceeds the threshold temperature, the AV performs checks to ensure that the user's planned trip follows current regulations or recommendations. For example, the AV confirms that the user is traveling between the user's home and a healthcare facility. If the trip is permitted, the AV enables the user to enter the AV. The AV may include a disinfectant system for disinfecting the passenger compartment or surfaces after the user exits the AV.

Reducing pathogen transmission in autonomous vehicle fleet

Systems and methods for augmented in-vehicle experiences. In particular, systems and methods for an immersive in-vehicle experience are provided, with customizable virtual and augmented reality options. Systems and techniques are provided for vehicles to perform real-time detection and augmentation of the real world environment, including tracked objects and buildings in the real world environment. The vehicles use intelligently matched vehicle sensor data, map data, and other source data for detection and augmentation of the environment. In some examples, procedurally generated three-dimensional (3D) environments are provided, which are based on a current ride route and surrounding real world environment.

Augmented in-vehicle experiences

Systems and methods for targeted advertisements displayed on a vehicle. A dynamic advertising platform leverages various ridehail service modalities to present targeted advertisements to users and bystanders. The modalities can include ridehail applications, external vehicle screens, interior vehicle screens, and other in-car experience formats. The targeted advertisements can be selected based on various factors, which can be personalized based on the user as well as based on the advertising business's preferences.

Vehicle advertising platform

A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and system for receiving sensor data from one or more sensors disposed on an autonomous vehicle, determining whether a potentially dangerous event is detected in the environment around the autonomous vehicle, and providing automatically at least a portion of the sensor data to a user associated with the autonomous vehicle. The sensor data may comprise measurements associated with an environment around the autonomous vehicle. The determination of the potentially dangerous event may be based on the sensor data. The portion of the sensor data may be provided automatically in response to determining that the potentially dangerous event is detected.
