A system and method of automatically assembling a package may include maintaining a data structure comprising a dynamic rule set for package production. A desired package may be selected for assembly. An assembly sequence may automatically be developed to create a three dimensional package from the dynamic rule set based on the desired package. The desired package may be assembled using the assembly sequence.

System and method for automating package assembly

Systems and methods identify a current location of a user based on a known location of an electronic device including kiosk, beacon, or location-aware camera when the user interacts with the electronic device. The systems and methods automatically create a user status data file based on the known location. The user status data file contains data identifying that the user is currently at the known location and other data captured about the event or venue at that location. The systems and methods automatically upload the user status data file to a personal storage account which can then be used to post to a social networking web site associated with the user as an activity post associated with the user.

One or more package models may be automatically selected by accessing the data structure wherein, for each selected package model, each desired attribute satisfies the corresponding package model attribute. The one or more selected package models may be presented.

System and method for selecting a package structural design

Methods and systems of selecting a color for a print operation are disclosed. A color including a color formula with multiple color components may be selected based on a reference color. A print sample may be printed on a printing device based on the selected color. The print sample may include the selected color and one or more rings of color variants. Each ring may include a plurality of color variants differing from a color component of the selected color by a corresponding amount. Each color variant may be aligned axially based on the color component that differs from the selected color and a magnitude of a difference between the color component of the color variant and the selected color. The print sample may be compared to the reference color. A document may be printed on the printing device using at least the color formula for the selected color.

A three dimensional size for the object is determined, and a package is automatically selected. Based on the object properties, a packing material type is automatically determined. Custom packaging solution for arbitrary objects

A system and method of selecting a package model are disclosed. A data structure of a plurality of package models and one or more attribute relationships may be stored. Each package model may have a plurality of package model attributes including at least a size and a style. Each attribute relationship may include an indication that one or more supplemental attributes are required if a constraint is satisfied. A user input that is descriptive of a desired package capability may be received. Using a semantic reasoner, the user input may be analyzed to determine one or more desired attributes. The data structure may be accessed to automatically determine whether a desired attribute satisfies a constraint for an attribute relationship. The one or more supplemental attributes required by the attribute relationship may be presented.

The presently described embodiments generate a single job that tests multiple image path parameter combinations. The user first selects the part of the document that will be used for the test run. The system then determines all the available image path control parameters and settings that are compatible with the selected document parts. The system builds a menu, and the user chooses the image path control parameters and settings combinations that are to be tested. The user then sends the job to the printer which prints the selected parts of the documents using each of the selected image path parameter combinations. Appropriate labels are included in the printed output so the user can easily identify the combination that delivers the most satisfactory results.

Method and system to determine preferred color management settings for printing documents

A method of producing a custom packaging system for arbitrary objects. A first image of an object to be packaged is received via an electronic user interface. Information relating to the material properties of the object may be received as well via the interface. A three dimensional size for the object is determined. At least one package for the object is automatically selected. Based on the material properties, a packing material type is automatically determined. Based upon the size and the selected package, a packing material amount is determined. Further printing options are permitted.

An accessory is provided for use with an image capture device is provided. The accessory has a trigger button and an image capture system adapted to capture an image in response to actuation of the trigger button. The accessory also has a body adapted to be detachably connectable to the image capture device with the body including, a holding unit for receiving a removable metadata source having metadata stored therein; a communication interface for communicating with the removable metadata source; and a trigger sensor for generating a trigger signal when the trigger button of said image capture device is depressed. The communication interface obtains metadata from the removable metadata source in response to the trigger signal and stores the metadata in a metadata memory so that the metadata is associated with the captured image.

A method for transmitting at least one digital image file between first and second devices, the first and second devices having limited range wireless transceivers; a user operating the first device selecting at least one electronic address designating said at least one second device; and said first device broadcasting at least one digital image file and the at least one selected electronic address until received and stored by one or more third non-designated devices. The method compares the received at least one selected electronic address to a stored electronic address belonging to said third non-designated device and automatically re-broadcasting the at least one digital image file if the received at least one selected electronic address does not match the stored electronic address of said at least one third non-designated device; and said at least one second device receiving and storing said at least one digital image file.
