Methods and apparatuses pertaining to uplink power consumption reduction for a Narrow Band-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) apparatus. The NB-IoT apparatus may transmit uplink data to a network apparatus via an uplink channel. The network apparatus may decode the uplink data. The network apparatus may further transmit an acknowledgement (ACK) indicator to the NB-IoT apparatus before receiving all the uplink data if the uplink data is decoded successfully. The NB-IoT apparatus may monitor whether an ACK indicator is received from the network apparatus during a transmission gap of the uplink channel. The NB-IoT apparatus may further terminate uplink data transmission if the ACK indicator is received.

Method and apparatus for uplink power consumption reduction in NB-IoT

A handheld device, a base station and transmission control methods thereof are provided. The handheld device transmits an uplink signal to the base station. The uplink signal comprises an uplink dedicated physical data channel (UL DPDCH) carrying data information in the first half of the non-transmission gap (non-TG) data slots and a corresponding uplink dedicated physical control channel (UL DPCCH) carrying control information according to a transmission mode.

Handheld device, base station and transmission control method thereof

A handheld device, a base station and transmission control methods thereof are provided. The handheld device transmits an uplink signal to the base station with an uplink dedicated physical control channel (UL DPCCH) carrying both transport format combination indicator (TFCI) code word and acknowledgement (ACK) information. The base station terminates a downlink signal transmission to the handheld device in response to the ACK information.

Power control methods are provided. The power control method, performed by a receiving end device, includes receiving two consecutive slots from a dedicated physical channel (DPCH), determining a transmit power control command based on signal qualities of the two consecutive slots; and transmitting the transmit power control command in only a first transmit power control field that is firstly available after the transmit power control command is determined.

Power control methods

A communication apparatus is provided. A processor receives a measurement control message carrying information about a filtering coefficient via a radio transceiver module, periodically measures signal quality of at least one cell to obtain a plurality of measurement results, periodically filters the measurement results according to a first measurement period to obtain a plurality of filtered results, and determines whether to transmit a measurement report to a system controller in the wireless communication network according to the filtered results. The filtering coefficient is assigned by the system controller to filter the measurement results according to a second measurement period. The second measurement period is longer than the first measurement period

Signal processing method and communication apparatus utilizing the same

A communication apparatus is provided. A radio transceiver module receives paging indicators according to a first activation signal. A baseband processing module receives the paging indicators from the radio transceiver module and processes the paging indicators according to a second activation signal. A controller obtains corresponding system frame numbers of periodic radio frames, obtains a corresponding paging indicator position in each periodic radio frame, obtains a first and a second wake up time interval distributed within each periodic radio frame according to the corresponding paging indicator position, generates the first and the second activation signal to respectively activate the radio transceiver module and the baseband processing module during the first and the second wake up time interval, wherein both a length of the first wake up time interval and a length of the second wake up time interval are smaller than a length of a periodic radio frame.
