A power module of an electrical connector is provided which has a dielectric housing and a pair of blade terminals. The housing has a forward face and a support arm projecting forwardly from the face. The support arm has opposing first and second sides. The housing has a cavity. The face has a pair of slots extending therethrough which are in communication with the cavity and which are provided adjacent the sides of the support arm. Each of the blade terminals has a body portion and a blade portion. The body portions are housed in the cavity and the blade portions extend through the slots and are positioned alongside the sides of the support arm. The electrical connector may also have a signal module interconnected to the power module. The electrical connector may also be configured to mate with another electrical connector as part of a connector assembly.

Power connector

A connector includes an insulator, and a plurality of spaced apart signal contacts and return reference contacts which are held by and routed through the insulator. The signal contacts form signal pairs which include a positive signal contact and a negative signal contact. At a first end of the insulator, the signal pairs and return reference contacts are provided in two rows. At the second end of the insulator, the signal pairs and return reference contacts are provided in at least three rows. The signal pairs and return reference contacts form either a plurality of isosceles triangles or a plurality of diagonal lines.

Board mounted electrical connector

An electrical connector has a conductive member with a conductor receiving shoulder to at least partially define a conductor receiving receptacle at which a conductor may be positioned and a movable conductor engaging member configured for movement along a first path. At one position along the first path, the conductor is engaged between the conductor receiving shoulder and the conductor engaging member. The conductor engaging member also moves along a second path that intersects with the first path. At one of the positions along the second path, the conductor engaging member is retained to permit insertion of a conductor into the conductor receiving receptacle.

Shielded modular jack assembly

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, conductive terminals mounted therein, and a conductive shield generally covering the housing. A shelf of the housing supports a portion of the shield. Each terminal has a main body, a front contact portion extending from an end of the main body and capable of engagement with contacts of a battery, a rear contact portion extending from an end of the main body and capable of engagement with contacts of an electronic device, and a tail portion extending perpendicularly from the main body. The tail portion is positioned between the front and rear contact portions. The front contact portion is capable of deflecting along a plane defined by a centerline of the main body.

High current electrical connector

A patch panel () for use with infrastructure management systems that utilizes a plurality of cables interconnected to end-user devices and work area outlets, and integrated circuits to monitor the status of these end-user devices and outlets includes a pair of circuit boards. A plurality of connective jacks () are mounted on the first () of the two circuit boards, and are interconnected to other network devices. Wires from the jacks extend to and connect with network devices and the first circuit board has a plurality of first integrated circuits () mounted thereon which monitor the status of the network devices connected to the jacks. The second circuit board () is spaced apart from the first circuit board and it includes a plurality of second integrated circuits () that convey the status information obtained from the network work area outlets on the network to network devices, such as switches and scanners of the network ().

Patch panel assembly for use with data networks

A termination unit () for use with a system that permits the monitoring of a computer network to perform network inventories. The termination unit takes the form of a cap that engages the termination face of a network jack and has a sensing circuit () integrated therewith so that, once engaged with the jack, the sensing circuit is connected to two terminals of the jack. The sensing circuit may include a resistor, capacitor or inductor, any of which provide a known sensing value that is different than a sensed value of an end-user device used on the network, but less than infinity so that the system senses when an end-user device is connected to or disconnected from the network.

Termination cap for use in wired network management system

A structure for use with data network management systems uses a plurality of cables interconnecting patch panels, network devices and end-user devices and further utilizes integrated circuits to monitor the status of these end-user devices. The structure includes respective primary () and secondary () circuit boards. A plurality of connective jacks () are mounted on the primary circuit board and these jacks are interconnected to switches and other patch panels within the network. Wires from the jacks extend to and connect with end-user devices and a secondary circuit board is spaced apart from the primary circuit board so as to define a hollow nest () within the patch panel assembly that houses and protects integrated circuits () and the like.

A receptacle connector is arranged on an interface of an electronic device for mating with a corresponding plug connector. An anti-incorrect-insertion block is arranged on and protruded from a mating portion of the plug connector. The receptacle connector comprises an insulating housing, conductive terminals assembled in the housing and a first shielding shell for covering on the outside of the insulating housing. A soldering portion welded to a circuit board is arranged on the lower edge of the first shielding shell. The receptacle connector is further provided with a second shielding shell for shielding the electromagnetic signals from the fool-proof opening of the interface. A receptacle connector of the invention shields the fool-proof opening by adding the second shielding shell, thereby preventing the electromagnetic leakage, improving the anti-electromagnetic interference capability of the connector and ensuring an electrical connection of the connector.
