A power distribution box assembly can include a power distribution box housing, a fuse block, and a plurality of eyelet terminals. The fuse block can include a stamped busbar assembly, a plurality of studs, and a housing. The stamped busbar assembly can include a main power supply portion, a plurality of fuse elements, and a plurality of terminal connecting portions coupled to the plurality of fuse elements. Each of the plurality of terminal connecting portions can: (i) extend from its respective fuse element in a terminal direction that is orthogonal to both directions that the main power supply portion and the fuse elements extend.

A connector comprises a connector housing that includes a plurality of channels formed therein through which a corresponding plurality of fasteners may pass. At least a portion of the housing has a first side and a second side. The first side is an elongated body-receiving side and the second side is a mating side. The elongated body may, for example, be a wire, a cable, a hose, or other structure. Each of the channels has an opening. The connector further comprises protrusions extending away from each of the openings. In an unassembled state, the protrusions extend further away from a surface of the housing than a remainder of the mating surface of the connector.

A connector kit includes a housing, a wire-mounted component, and a seal. In various embodiments, the seal is configured to be coupled to the housing and the wire-mounted component. The seal includes a single unitary body, and the seal is structured to provide a seal for the wire-mounted component and a wire to protect an interior of the connector from penetration by foreign substances.

Device and method for protecting a connector assembly

A connector assembly may include first and second connector bodies and a terminal splitter. The second connector body may matingly engage the first connector body. The terminal splitter may be received in at least one of the first and second connector bodies. The terminal splitter may include a body portion having first and second wires connected thereto and a blade portion extending from the body portion and including a third wire connected thereto. The third wire may be joined to a female receptacle mounted in the other one of the connector bodies for being joined to the blade portion.

An electrical connector can include a male blade terminal protector that protects one or more male blade terminals from external objects before, during, and after coupling of the male connector to a female connector. The male blade terminal protector can be slidably disposed within a housing of the male connector and configured to retract when the female connector is coupled to the male connector and extend when the female connector is decoupled from the male connector. The male blade terminal protector is moveable from an extended position to a retracted position when a ledge is disengage from a catch by a ramped surface of a female housing and a retraction tab of the female housing is configured to move the male blade terminal protector from the retracted position to the extended position as the female connector is disengaged from the male connector.

An interface seal for an electrical connector assembly that includes a housing and a seal retainer defining a seal recess and configured to couple to the housing, is disclosed. The interface seal includes a main body portion configured to substantially surround the housing to create a sealing interface, and an anti-rotation projection coupled to and extending from the main body portion. The anti-rotation projection includes (i) an engagement portion extending in a first direction and (ii) a connecting portion that couples the engagement portion with the main body portion and that extends in a second direction different from the first direction. The anti-rotation projection cooperates with the seal recess to inhibit movement of the interface seal with respect to the housing and seal retainer.

A connector assembly having a first connector portion, a second connector portion, and connector position assurance structure. An anti-deflection tab and an anti-deflection protrusion are employed in the connector assembly to control movement of the connector position assurance structure relative to the remainder of the connector assembly.

A connector assembly having a first connector housing, a second connector housing and a connector position assurance (CPA) member that is slidably mounted on the first connector housing for movement between first and second CPA positions. When the CPA member is in the first CPA position and the first connector housing is not fully mated to the second connector housing, the CPA member engages the first connector housing to inhibit sliding movement toward the second CPA position. Fully mating the first and second connector housings together unlocks the CPA member to permit it to be slid to the second CPA position to engage the second connector housing.

A connector is provided. The connector can include a first housing that can define a bore for receipt of a first electrical terminal. The first housing can have an outer housing and an inner housing. The inner housing can include a housing lock, and can be moveable relative to the outer housing to enable the housing lock to move from a locked position to an unlocked position. The connector can include a second housing, which can define a bore for receipt of a second electrical terminal. The second housing can include a ramp that engages a portion of the housing lock when the housing lock is in the locked position to move the housing lock into the unlocked position. The ramp can be retained by the housing lock in the locked position to secure the first housing to the second housing.

Connector

A universally adjustable tool for measuring the force required to throw the lever of a lever-type, two-part, electrical connector. The tool comprises a handle, a base bar to which the handle is slideably attached, and a pair of legs having adaptors to permit the tool to be mounted to the lever pivot of the connector. A load cell adjustably depends from the free end of the handle and is operably connectable to the lever by means of a catch in the form of a hook or other desired shape. Various joints and a slide bracket, along with connector adaptors, provide a universal tool adaptable for use with a wide variety of two-part matable lever type connectors.
