The present invention relates to a portable device for spraying a liquid at low pressure, said device comprising a spray arm (), and characterized in that the spray arm comprises at least one flat fan spray nozzle (). Preferably, the liquid is a cleaning composition for treatment of carpets and other large fabric coverings, more preferably, a composition comprising surfactants. Also preferably, the portable device is electrically driven, and/or the spray arm is extendible and/or detachable from the device's main unit.

The present invention is directed to a device for the delivery of products, preferably cleaning products which comprise an active ingredient and more preferably cleaning products which comprise a surfactant. The device includes at least one liquid reservoir for containing at least one product and a dispensing appliance for delivering the product. The dispensing appliance comprises at least one piercing means or at least one pierceable means, and the reservoir respectively comprises at least one corresponding pierceable means or at least one piercing means, such that the pierceable means recloses when the reservoir is removed from the dispensing appliance. Preferably, the piercing means is achieved by at least one needle.

The invention is an extendible liquid-applying spray arm for use with a liquid source, such as an electrical sprayer. It includes one handle and at least two tubular members which are telescopingly engaged with and slideable along one another. Sliding the tubular members extends/retracts the spray arm respectively for treating/storage or to meet particular work needs which require that said extendible spray arm has a short length. When the spray arm is collapsed, the telescopic members are at least partially arranged within the handle, so that the global length of the spray arm is less than the additional lengths of the handle and the telescopic portion. The spray arm further comprises a spray member for spraying the liquid. A flexible tube extends around the tubular members and connects to the nozzle member, which is preferably coiled around the tubular members.

The present invention is directed to a device comprising an appliance, and a reservoir suitable for being removably connected to said appliance, said appliance comprising at least one piercing means and said reservoir comprising one pierceable means, said appliance comprising a releasable protecting means for preventing access to said piercing means when said reservoir is not connected to said appliance. The present invention is further directed to said appliance, and also to said reservoir. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the appliance comprises an actuation trigger to release said protecting means and give access to said piercing means, and said reservoir comprises a releasing means to cooperate with said actuation trigger in releasing said protecting means. Also preferably, said appliance and said reservoir are provided with cooperating securing means, so as to ensure that said reservoir is secured into said appliance, ones connected thereinto.

The present invention is directed to a process of treating carpets and other large fabric coverings with a product dispensed from an appliance. A reservoir for use with a dispensing appliance for spraying a liquid is provided, wherein the dispensing appliance comprises a protecting plate and at least two needles for engaging the reservoir. The protecting plate has a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein the protecting plate is movable in the unlocked position to expose the needles and is immovable in the locked position. The reservoir comprises a finish with an opening which communicates with the interior of the reservoir and a membrane disposed across the opening, wherein the membrane has an exposed length of less than about 45 mm.
