The UE may receive, based on the reference signals, a measurement message indicating measurements for a set of beams corresponding to a secondary sidelink carrier of the sidelink carrier aggregation configuration based on a beam failure instance for the primary sidelink carrier. The UE may transmit, via Layer 1 signaling or Layer 2 signaling, a control message indicating to switch the primary sidelink carrier to the set of beams based on the measurements for the set of beams and the beam failure instance for the primary sidelink carrier.

A user equipment (UE) may receive first control signaling indicating a configuration of a set of serving cells for inter-cell mobility procedures and a layer one (L1) report configuration. The UE may transmit, in accordance with the L1 report configuration, an L1 report including channel information associated with one or more cell groups of the set of serving cells, where the one or more cell groups include both active and inactive serving cells for the inter-cell mobility procedures. In some cases, the UE may receive second control signaling modifying the L1 report configuration. The second control signaling may indicate parameters of the L1 report configuration to be updated, such as cells or cell groups to be reported, quantities to measure and/or include in the L1 report, etc. The UE may update the L1 report configuration based on the second control signaling.

Dynamic reporting techniques for inter-cell mobility

Aspects of the present disclosure allow a base station to simultaneously send SSBs to a UE and to associate different ROs or designated subsets of preambles with the simultaneously transmitted SSBs. The base station may configure a time or frequency offset for different ROs, or a number of preamble cyclic shifts associated with the SSBs. The base station then simultaneously sends a plurality of SSBs to the UE, where each of the SSBs is associated with a different beam, and where each of the SSBs is associated with a different RO or a designated subset of preambles. After the UE simultaneously obtains the SSBs from the base station, the UE may determine the offset for one of the different ROs, or the number of preamble cyclic shifts associated with one of the SSBs. The UE may then send a preamble to the base station in response to the determination.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a measurement report based at least in part on a set of measurements of one or more reference signals received using a set of candidate beams; transmit a negative acknowledgement for a downlink transmission scheduled for one or more beams of the set of candidate beams; and monitor one or more new beams of the set of candidate beams for a retransmission of the downlink transmission. In operation, the UE in the cell (SpCell/SCell) may be configured to operate with beam group specific BFRs, cell-level BFRs, or combinations of them under a beam failure configuration that is determined according to various rules. A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) and a UE is disclosed. The method includes determining a beam failure configuration for a serving cell, the beam failure configuration including at least one of a beam failure parameter of a beam group or a beam failure parameter of a cell; and detecting, in the serving cell based at least in part on the beam failure configuration, a beam failure recovery (BFR) based at least in part on the beam failure configuration. The beam failure configuration is determined based on various rules that control the operation of the BFR.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for inter-cell measurement and reporting. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes sending, to a base station (BS), an indication of one or more capabilities of the UE for inter-cell signal measurements, reporting of the inter-cell signal measurements, or both. The UE may perform inter-cell signal measurement and reporting based on the one or more capabilities.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Some aspects relate to Layer 1 or Layer 2 triggered mobility (LTM) using groups of candidate cells. Some aspects more specifically relate to performing LTM operations, such as measurement, reporting, or switching, for cells of an activated group of candidate cells for LTM. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may measure an activated group of candidate cells in accordance with the activated group of candidate cells being activated. For example, the UE may not measure candidate cells that do not belong to an activated group of candidate cells. In some aspects, the activated group of candidate cells may include a subset of all candidate cells configured for the UE. For example, the UE may perform measurement and reporting for the subset of candidate cells, instead of all candidate cells configured for the UE.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device (e.g., a user equipment) may modify logical channel prioritization based on a packet delay. The first device may receive a set of parameter values for a logical channel prioritization procedure, then select a parameter value from the set based on a packet delay for data scheduled in an uplink grant. The first device may determine the parameter value, or the first device may select the parameter value based on signaling received from a second device (e.g., a base station). In some examples, the first device or the second device may determine the parameter value based on a delay prediction or machine learning.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a set of transmission occasions usable by the UE for transmitting layer one (L1) reports. The set of transmission occasions may include a first subset of transmission occasions for transmitting beam information reports and a second subset of transmission occasions for transmitting beam information reports and corresponding antenna port information. The UE may then transmit, within a first transmission occasion of the first subset of transmission occasions, a first L1 report including a first beam information report, and may transmit, within a second transmission occasion of the second subset of transmission occasions, a second L1 report including a second beam information report and an indication of a quantity of antenna ports supported by the UE.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, configuration information that indicates a configuration for monitoring beam failure detection reference signals (BFD-RSs) in a discontinuous reception (DRX) on duration. The UE may transmit, to the network node, information that is based at least in part on the BFD-RSs being monitored in the DRX on duration in accordance with the configuration. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) transmitting a first signal using a first waveform type. After transmitting the first signal using the first waveform type, the UE may identify a trigger event for waveform type switching by the UE and select a waveform type from among a set of waveform types based on identifying the trigger event. A network entity may configure one or more user equipments (UEs) with cell group configuration information for a single cell group or multiple cell groups. The configuration information may include parameters for each cell in the one or more cell groups. The network may then dynamically switch, update, or activate, cell groups, and may dynamically switch transmission reception points (TRPs) in a cell group from one role to another via dynamic signaling (e.g., level 1 (L1) or level 2 (L2) signaling).
