Disclosed is a LIDAR apparatus for a vehicle including a light-emitting unit configured to generate and emit laser light, a light-receiving unit configured to receive reflected light based on the laser light, at least one electronic component electrically connected to the light-emitting unit and the light-receiving unit, and a case configured to accommodate the light-emitting unit, the light-receiving unit, and the electronic component therein, wherein the case is formed of a metal material, and is in contact with at least one element included in at least one of the light-emitting unit, the light-receiving unit, or the electronic component.

A lidar apparatus includes a sensor configured to convert light into an electrical signal, a light receiving lens configured to receive light and to guide the received light toward the sensor, a lens barrel that supports the light receiving lens, a micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) mirror arranged at a first position in which the MEMS mirror defines a first plane that forms a first acute angle with respect to at least one surface of the lens barrel, and a light output device that is configured to output a laser light toward the MEMS mirror and that is arranged at a second position in which the light output device defines a second plane that forms a second acute angle with respect to the at least one surface of the lens barrel.

Provided are a lidar system and an autonomous driving system using the same. The lidar system includes: a light emitter configured to include a light source generating a laser beam and a scanner moving the laser beam from the light source to scan an object with the laser beam; a receiving sensor configured to convert light reflected and received by the object into an electrical signal; and a signal processor configured to include a trans impedance amplifier amplifying an output signal of the receiving sensor, an analog to digital converter converting an output signal of the trans impedance amplifier into a digital signal, and a gain controller varying a gain of the trans impedance amplifier. According to the lidar system, an autonomous vehicle, an AI device, and an external device may be linked with an artificial intelligence module, a drone, a robot, an Augmented or Virtual Reality device, etc.
