Disclosed are an electroluminescent display and a driving method thereof, the method comprising: generating a predicted value, indicating a degree of degradation of pixels, by accumulating pixel data of an input image at each pixel: and generating a compensation value by adjusting the predicted value to a current measurement value which is obtained by measuring a current in a power line connected to the pixels. Compensation data, which is to be written into each of the pixels, is generated by modulating the pixel data with the compensation value.

Electroluminescent display and driving method thereof

An organic light emitting display (OLED) device may include a display panel, a gate driver, a data driver, a timing controller and a deterioration compensation unit. The deterioration compensator may detect one or more deteriorated regions in the display region based on stress data of the respective pixels, the stress data being generated by counting input data corresponding to the respective pixels, and generate compensation data of pixels included in each of the deteriorated regions, based on the stress data of the respective pixels and sensing data for deteriorations of pixels included in two or more horizontal lines which are arbitrarily selected among horizontal lines corresponding to the deteriorated region.

Organic light emitting display device and method for driving the same

An organic light emitting display device includes a display panel and a deterioration compensation unit. The display panel comprises a plurality of unit pixels each comprising at least three sub-pixels corresponding to different colors and an organic light emitting diode. The deterioration compensation unit generates deterioration estimation data of each of the sub-pixels based on cumulative data of each of the sub-pixels, generates first and second temperature deterioration data based on display temperature data corresponding to temperature of the organic light emitting display device, calculates an individual compensation gain corresponding to each of the sub-pixels based on the deterioration estimation data and the first and second temperature deterioration data, and corrects input data of each of the sub-pixels based on the individual compensation gain of each of the sub-pixels.

A pixel compensation module according to one embodiment of the present disclosure detects a degraded region with reference to degradation data corresponding to each of pixels included in a display panel, determines a first compensation gain so as to decrease final compensation data of pixels included in the degraded region, and determines a second compensation gain so as to increase final compensation data of pixels included in an adjacent degraded region to correct compensation data of the pixels.
