A mouth guard comprises a base member configured to fit inside the mouth of a user, and at least one shock-sensing and indicating device coupled to the base member. In one exemplary embodiment, the shock-sensing and indicating device is a passive shock-sensing and indicating device that detects a shock substantially along a selected axis with respect to the base member. In another exemplary embodiment, the at least one shock-sensing and indicating device detects a shock substantially along a plurality of selected axes with respect to the base member, each selected axis being substantially orthogonal from another selected axis. The shock-sensing and indicating devices can be configured to detect different levels of shock. In one exemplary embodiment, the shock-sensing and indicating device comprises a multi-component chemical-reaction system, such as a chemi-luminescent reaction system.

A frame structure for a safety enclosure for a recreational structure includes at least one substantially rigid horizontal support member, at least one vertical pole member having a top end, a substantially vertical portion and portion that is not substantially vertical, and at least one end cap member. The end cap member mates with the top end of the vertical pole member and releasably receiving a horizontal support member. In one exemplary embodiment, the vertical pole member can be part of a safety enclosure. In another exemplary embodiment, at least one horizontal support member is flexibly rigid. One exemplary embodiment provides a netting-type material that is attached to one of a horizontal support member and an end cap member, such that the netting-type material forms a substantially cylindrical shaped safety enclosure space.

Frame structure for a safety enclosure for a recreational structure

A trampoline is disclosed that includes first, second, and third frame members, a pole member, and a sleeve joint coupling. The sleeve joint coupling includes a first arm with a first passage, a second arm with a second passage, a third arm extending away from the second arm and including a third passage, and an aperture. The first passage has a first axis, and the second and third passages shares a substantially common axis. The first axis is substantially perpendicular to the substantially common axis. The first frame member is received in the first passage, the second frame member is received in the second passage, the third frame member is received in the third passage, and the pole member is received in the aperture to extend away from the first frame member. At least one of the second and third arms defines an uppermost surface of the sleeve joint coupling.

A frame structure comprising a plurality of leg members, a plurality of top-corner fittings, a plurality of slide fittings and a plurality of flexible-pole members. Each leg member comprises a first end and a second end. A top-corner fitting is attached to the first end of each leg member. A slide fitting is coupled to each leg member and is adjustably movable along a length of the leg member between the first end and the second end of the leg member. Each flexible-pole member corresponds to a leg member, and each flexible-pole member comprises a first end and a second end. The first end of each flexible-pole member is coupled to a slide fitting, and a second end of each flexible-pole member is coupled to a central hub member. Each flexible-pole member forms an arching shape when the frame structure is in an erect, unfolded position.

A recreational structure, such as a trampoline frame, can be quickly and reliably assembled using a coupling member generally having a 'T' configuration. A first arm member and a second arm member are disposed in an opposite relationship with each other. The first and second arm members each receive one end of a horizontal frame member of the recreational structure. The third arm member includes flange members that receive one end of a vertical frame member of the recreational structure and one end of a vertical pole member of, for example, a safety enclosure.

A recreational structure comprises a rebounding-surface frame forming a closed shape, and at least one panel disposed between the rebounding-surface frame and a support surface. The at least one comprises a horizontal edge, and at least a portion of the top horizontal edge of at the least one panel is coupled to at least a portion of the rebounding-surface frame. In one exemplary embodiment, at least a first and a second panel each comprise first and second vertical edges and a horizontal edge. The first vertical edge of the first panel is coupled to a second vertical edge of the second panel. At least a portion of the top horizontal edge of at least one of the first and second panels is coupled to at least a portion of the rebounding-surface frame.
