This document describes apparatuses that include integrated memory card ejector and sensor ports. A first described aspect of an apparatus includes a memory card connector, a housing, and a carriage. The memory card connector includes a receiver configured to receive a memory card and an ejector assembly configured to eject the memory card from the receiver. The housing includes a sidewall that includes a memory card slot and an integrated port. The integrated port defines an outside opening of the housing. The carriage includes a slide portion slidably positioned in the integrated port and is accessible through the outside opening of the housing. The carriage includes a carriage body having an outer port, a sensor port, and an acoustic chamber defined within the carriage body. The carriage includes an ejector connector configured for contacting the ejector assembly and a sensor assembly mounted on the carriage at the sensor port.

Open-air earbuds and methods for making the same are disclosed. The earbud has a neck, which is open to the ambient environment in order to improve bass response. In order to prevent debris from entering the interior of the earbud, a filter is incorporated into the neck.

Disclosed herein is a technique that can selectively display secure content on a computing device. The technique can detect both lock and unlock events and issue appropriate control signals that cause an application to display a more secure version of the application when necessary based on a particular UI context file. The UI context file can specify a configuration that includes pre-configured hidden or removed UI elements that do not need to be adjusted at runtime. Moreover, the technique can seamlessly pivot to a different UI context file that specifies a configuration of the application that allows the user to experience the full-capabilities of the application when the computing device is in an unlocked-mode.

A computing device includes memory configured for storing executable instructions, a processor configured for executing the instructions, a foldable display layer configured for displaying information in response to the execution of the instructions, and a bend limit layer coupled to the foldable display layer and arranged substantially parallel to a display surface of the foldable display layer. The bend limit layer is configured to increase its stiffness non-linearly when a radius of a bend of the bend limit layer is less than a threshold radius of curvature of the foldable display layer, the threshold radius of curvature being greater than 1 mm and less than 20 mm.

A tactile input device may include a top surface, a sensor beneath the top surface, a controller beneath the top surface, and a securement mechanism. The controller may be configured to process input received by the sensor. The securement mechanism may be configured to secure the tactile input device to a portable computing device. The sensor, the controller, and the securement mechanism may all be superposed by the top surface.

A removable component for use with an earphone is disclosed. As an example, the removable component can be an ear tip. According to one aspect, an improved ear tip can be provided for use with a headphone. The ear tip is suitable for in-ear operation and can have a cosmetic deformable outer member. The deformable outer member can enable the ear tip to readily conform to a user's ear. The ear tip can also include an inner member to structurally support the outer member and to facilitate attachment to a headphone. Methods for forming such ear tips are also disclosed.

Methods and apparatus are described for offering a benefit to a player of a first electronic game device. Designating applications for public access or private access on a computing device is disclosed. An application on the computing device is designated for private functionality or public functionality. A security wall is enforced with respect to the application if the application is designated for private functionality, wherein enforcing the security wall includes preventing access to the application until a security input is received. Access to the application is provided if the application is designated for public functionality, wherein providing access to the application includes allowing a user to access the application without receiving the security input from the user.

An electronic device includes a first housing of a single piece of material that has first and second spaced apart major walls that extend in lateral directions and at least three side walls extending perpendicular to the lateral directions between the major walls. The major walls and the side walls define an internal cavity, and the first housing defines an opening to the internal cavity opposite one of the side walls. At least one support member is within the internal cavity of the first housing adjacent a major walls a side wall thereof. At least one electronic component is contained within the internal cavity, and a first cover is removably affixed over the opening. At least one of the support member and the first cover contributes to a retention force applied on the at least one electronic component within the internal cavity of the first housing.
