A fuel tank for an agricultural vehicle, comprises a main fuel tankhaving a filler pipeand a separate inletand a removable auxiliary tankhaving a second filler pipeand an outletfor supplying fuel into the separate inletof the main tank. To avoid spillage from the filler pipe of the main tank, in one aspect of the invention, a valveis provided in the main fuel tankto close off the second inletwhen the fuel level within the main tankreaches a predetermined level. In a second aspect of the invention, spillage is avoided by means of an extension tubewhich sealingly engages the filler tubeof the main tank at its lower end and opens at its upper end into the filler pipeof the auxiliary tank

Fuel tank for an agricultural vehicle

A vehicle seat for an operator is disclosed in combination with a mechanical joystick for operating ancillary equipment of the vehicle. The joystick is pivotably mounted on the seat for movement between an active position in which the joystick may be manipulated by a seated operator and a stowed position in which access to the seat is unencumbered by the joystick.

Vehicle seat

A hitch control unit for use in a tractor comprises a housing that defines an arcuate surface having a tangentially extending slot. An arm extending through the slot is rotatably mounted in the housing and connected to a transducer to produce a signal indicative of the position of the arm along the slot. A stop movably mounted in the housing defines a reference position for the arm along the slot, and a finger-actuated wheel rotatably mounted in the housing allows the position of the movable stop along the slot to be adjusted. The wheel has an internally screw threaded bore and is mounted in the housing for rotation about an axis that extends parallel to the slot and the adjustable stop is connected to an arcuate rack in screw threaded engagement with the bore in the wheel.

Hitch control unit

An agricultural tractor is provided with a steering column, a gearbox forming part of the vehicle drive train and having a selection lever and a gear change mechanism mounted on the steering column for remotely operating the selection lever of the gearbox. The gear change mechanism comprises a collar mounted for rotation about the axis of the steering column, a first bevel gear fast in rotation with the collar, a second bevel gear meshing with the first bevel gear and mounted for rotation about a fixed axis that extends generally radially from the steering column, a crank arm connected for rotation with the second bevel gear, and a flexible cable connecting the crank arm to the selection lever of the gearbox, the cable enabling the end of the selection lever to be pulled and pushed by rotation of the collar about the steering column.
