A prosthetic implant transfer device is provided that may be used to insert a prosthetic implant through a surgical opening. In some embodiments, the device may comprise a flexible sheet of material that may be formed into an elongated hollow structure. The flexible sheet of material includes a plurality of fasteners that may be selected and engaged to define a desired size distal opening.

A bone fixation system, device and method are provided herein. A system may include a bone plate. The bone plate is adapted to be affixed to a bone surface, and comprises a bioactive porous portion. The porous portion is adapted to, include bone healing-promoting substances, such as hollow microparticles containing the bone healing-promoting substances embedded in the porous portion. The bone plate father includes at least one attachment portion. In some embodiments, the attachment portion includes a face, which defines indentations, such as dimples, to retain an amount of adhesive.

Bone fixation methods and devices including adhesive bioactive resorbable bone plates

The present invention provides a delivery device for intranasal administration of topical therapeutic agents to a desired site within a nasal cavity. The delivery device, in some embodiments, comprises a housing defining an interior and adapted to contain a supply of at least one therapeutic agent. The delivery device further includes a flexible connector, which is in fluid communication with the supply in the housing. A distributor, which is also integrally formed with the connector, is also provided. The distributor includes a proximal end that is in fluid communication with a distal end of the connector, and is adapted to receive the supply of the at least one therapeutic agent delivered by way of a conduit. The distributor further includes a distal end defining an outlet configured to diffuse the therapeutic agent when delivered to the treatment site.

Delivery device and method for intranasal administration of topical therapeutic agents

The invention relates to novel internal fixation devices, such as bone plates, generally and novel craniomaxillofacial bone plates more specifically and systems for bonding the same. More specifically, the invention relates to bone plates made of a polymer blend of (poly)lactic acid and Ecoflex as well as a novel hot-melt adhesive polymer blend of the same material.

A system may include a plate, having at least one face configured to be affixed to a bone surface, and an adhesive for affixing the plate to a bone surface. In some examples, the plate may include at least on indentation on its face, such as a dimple. The system may also include an application device for dispensing adhesive onto a plate or bone surface, which may include a chamber for containing the adhesive, a heating element in communication with the chamber, a nozzle for dispensing the adhesive, a piston slidably disposed within the chamber for advancing the adhesive towards the nozzle, and a control mechanism for controlling release of adhesive from the nozzle.

Predicting movement of soft tissue of the face in response to movement of underlying bone includes storing, for first subjects, data identifying movement of soft tissue of the face in response to movement of underlying bone, and using the data to predict, for a second subject, movement of soft tissue of the face over time in response to movement of underlying bone.
