A system and method for Wi-Fi roaming management, comprising an agent application operating on a mobile device in background operation to monitor device state and operation and listen for notification events prompting a network action. Network actions may include performing network tests or disconnecting, reconnecting, or updating a network connection to ensure roaming is being handled properly and the device is connected to a desired access point.

The system comprises a central analysis and control server comprising at least a plurality of programming instructions stored in a memory and operating on a processor of a network-connected computing device; a mobile wireless test device comprising at least a plurality of programming instructions stored in a memory and operating on a processor of a network-connected computing device, which may be an application on an end-user device or a dedicated device.

System and method for wireless network performance measurement and management using remote devices

A system for measuring and reporting wireless network service quality using remote devices is disclosed. The system comprises a central analysis and control server, a wireless device, and a wireless network testing software application, which is transmitted to the wireless device. The wireless device performs testing of wireless networks and sends test data to the central server. The received data us transformed and an indicia of wireless network service quality is obtained.

Low bandwidth telecommunications channels are transformed into a high bandwidth telecommunications channel by determining the relative transmission delays among a plurality of relatively low bandwidth channels which are to be combined into a relatively high bandwidth communications channel. The transmission time delay across the plurality of low bandwidth channels is then equalized so that the time delay equalized low bandwidth channels combine to effectively form a single high bandwidth channel. The relative transmission time delays among the low bandwidth channels may be determined by transmitting an alignment (synchronization) signal across each of the low bandwidth channels, receiving the alignment signal from each of the low bandwidth channels, and measuring the time differences among the received alignment signals at each of the low bandwidth channels. Based on the measured time differences, time delay across the plurality of low bandwidth channels is equalized, so that the transmission time delay equalized low bandwidth channels may be combined to effectively form a single high bandwidth channel.

Method and apparatus for transforming low bandwidth telecommunications

A multi-stage time division switch interconnects processors communicating over one or more channels on time division lines. One of the processors is designated as a common processor to provide the switching 'mapping' information for the various stages of the switch sending the switching information to the memory and logic of each switched stage over dedicated channels which include channels on the time division line emanating from the common processor and time division channels which pass through several switches until the memory of the applicable switch is accessed.
