A pipe fitting having a first body and a second body that together at least partially define a fluid flow passage. The first body defines a first portion of the fluid flow passage that extends from a first end of the fluid flow passage to a first internal opening. The second body defines a second portion of the fluid flow passage that extends from a second internal opening to a second end of the fluid flow passage. The first body has a first interface surface that surrounds the first internal opening, the first interface surface having a plurality of anti-rotation grooves. The second body has a second interface surface that surrounds the second internal opening and engages with the first interface surface. The first internal opening is in fluid communication with the second internal opening. The second interface surface has a plurality of anti-rotation fingers that are each received by and engage with a corresponding one of the anti-rotation grooves. Rotation of the second body relative to the first body is resisted by the engagement of the anti-rotation fingers with the anti-rotation grooves.

A coupling and anchoring system for coupling lengths of pipe and anchoring the lengths of pipe to a structure comprise a pipe coupling having an external peripheral groove defined by axially facing axial clamp engaging surfaces, said groove receiving an anchoring clamp. The anchoring clamp has corresponding axial coupling engaging surfaces for engaging the axial clamp engaging surfaces of the pipe coupling to restrict axial movement of the pipe coupling when the anchoring clamp is fastened to the structure. The anchoring clamp is formed from arced bands having laterally extending connecting portions and laterally extending arced elements. The laterally extending connecting surfaces and arcs combine to form dual fastener openings for optionally receiving fastening elements perpendicular and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipe coupling for optionally anchoring the system to perpendicular and parallel portions of the structure. The internal are radius of the arced bands is comparable to the outer diameter of the external peripheral groove with the laterally extending connecting portions radially remote from the groove so that connection of the laterally extending portions prevents over tightening of the clamp. The coupling has an hour-glass cross section with the peripheral groove located axially interposed between the pipe stops and the clamp engaging surfaces such that the pipe lengths would not be axially coincident with the external groove.

A coupling and anchoring system for coupling lengths of pipe and anchoring the lengths of pipe to a structure comprise a pipe coupling having an external peripheral groove defined by axially facing axial clamp engaging surfaces, said groove receiving an anchoring clamp. The anchoring clamp has corresponding axial coupling engaging surfaces for engaging the axial clamp engaging surfaces of the pipe coupling to restrict axial movement of the pipe coupling when the anchoring clamp is fastened to the structure. The anchoring clamp is formed from arced bands having laterally extending connecting portions and laterally extending arced elements. The laterally extending connecting surfaces and arcs combine to form dual fastener openings for optionally receiving fastening elements perpendicular and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipe coupling for optionally anchoring the system to perpendicular and parallel portions of the structure. The internal arc radius of the arced bands is comparable to the outer diameter of the external peripheral groove with the laterally extending connecting portions radially remote from the groove so that connection of the laterally extending portions prevents over tightening of the clamp. The coupling has an hour-glass cross section with the peripheral groove located axially interposed between the pipe stops and the clamp engaging surfaces such that the pipe lengths would not be axially coincident with the external groove.

A grommet for use in a cable fitting includes a body having a bore substantially therethrough and a resilient membrane located within the bore. The resilient membrane has a thinner membrane portion extending radially towards the bore to provide a controlled tear during cable insertion. The body has an exit opening which comprises resilient gripping teeth projecting axially from the body with an axially extending resilient foldable membrane located between at least two adjacent resilient teeth and foldable therebetween when they are radially compressed. Once force is applied by the axial movement of the fitting assembly onto a tapered surface of the grommet, the flexible gripping members radially collapse towards an inserted cable. The grommet may be assembled in a strain relief connector having a nut, a connector body and optionally an insert.

A drag reduction plate is provided for trailers that are towed by vehicles along a roadway or highway, where the trailer typically has a box-like construction having a bottom, top, front, back, and sides, and at least one wheel set near the back end and below the bottom thereof. The drag reduction plate is a rigid or semi-rigid plate secured to and depending vertically downwardly from the bottom of the trailer and being disposed along a portion of the length of the trailer forwardly of the at least one wheel set. A drag reduction structure comprises a drag reduction plate and a pair of deflector plates also depending vertically downwardly from the bottom of a trailer; and extending outwardly and rearwardly from the rear end of the rigid or semi-rigid plate in a region which is forward of the at least one wheel set. The outer edges of the deflector plates are located at positions which are wider than the outer width of the wheel set.
