An apparatus to facilitate processing video bit stream data is disclosed. The apparatus includes one or more processors to encode surface normals data with point cloud geometry data included in the video bit stream data for reconstruction of objects within the video bit stream data based on the surface normals data and a memory communicatively coupled to the one or more processors.

Embodiments described herein provide an apparatus comprising a processor to divide a first image projection into a plurality of regions, the plurality of regions comprising a plurality of points, determine an accuracy rating for the plurality of regions, and apply one of a first rendering technique to a first region in the plurality of regions when the accuracy rating for the first region in the plurality of regions fails to meet an accuracy threshold or a second rendering technique to the first region in the plurality of regions when the accuracy rating for the first region in the plurality of regions meets an accuracy threshold, and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. An apparatus to facilitate processing video bit stream data is disclosed. The apparatus includes one or more processors to decode point cloud data, reconstruct the decoded point cloud data and fill one or more holes in reconstructed point cloud frame data using patch metadata included in the decoded point cloud data and a memory communicatively coupled to the one or more processors.

Methods, systems and articles of manufacture for a portable electronic device that uses biometric content to determine an orientation in which a display device is presenting content are disclosed. Example electronic devices include a display device, a biometric sensor to capture a biometric sample, and an orientation determination tool to determine a device orientation relative to a user based on the biometric sample. Example devices further include an orientation adjustment tool to change a content orientation in which the display device of the portable electronic device presents content based on the determination of the device orientation of the at least one of the display device and the portable electronic device. In some examples, the biometric sensor is a fingerprint sensor or an image sensor.

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to facilitate secure screen input. An example disclosed system includes a user interface (UI) manager to generate a UI comprising a quantity of ordinal entry points, each one of the quantity of ordinal entry points comprising a repeating selectable pattern, an ordinal sequence generator to generate an initial randomized combination of the quantity of ordinal entry points, the randomized combination stored in a trusted execution environment, and an offset calculator to calculate a password entry value by comparing an offset value and direction value retrieved from the UI with the initial randomized combination of the quantity of ordinal entry points.

Methods and apparatus to facilitate secure screen input

A platform including a security system is described. The security system comprises, in one embodiment, a multi-state system having a plurality of modes, available whenever the platform has a source of power. The modes comprise an unarmed mode, in which the security system is not protecting the platform, an armed mode, in which the platform is protected, the armed mode reached from the unarmed mode, after an arming command, and a suspecting mode, in which the platform is suspecting theft, the suspecting mode reached from the armed mode, when a risk behavior is detected.

An apparatus is presented for use with stringed musical instruments which replaces both a bridge and a tailpiece. The apparatus provides enhanced coupling between the string which it contacts and the body of the musical instrument by terminating the string at a point coincident with the desired speaking length, thereby virtually completely eliminating the energy loss and extraneous vibrations that occur in conventional nodal point forming systems. The apparatus includes provision for longitudinally adjusting the position of the string relative to the body of the musical instrument to obtain the proper location thereof with regard to the original octave point position of the strings over the frets.
