A device for collecting a biological sample in a patient includes a collection portion having a first axial end portion and a second axial end portion. The second axial end portion has a collapsed position and an expanded position. The second axial end portion moves in an axial direction relative to the first axial end portion when the second axial end portion moves between the collapsed position and the expanded position. The second axial end portion extends axially into the first axial end portion and has a concave shape when in the collapsed position. The second axial end portion is convex when in the expanded position.

A nasal irrigation device communicates an irrigant to a device user and comprises a mechanics module and a reservoir assembly wherein a source of saline comprising a cartridge is disposed within the mechanics module adjacent a lid assembly for piercing the cartridge upon closing of a lid for releasing the cartridge contents into the reservoir assembly. A faux collapsible cartridge for testing operability of a nasal irrigation device comprises a housing including a shaft, a spring biased rod extending from the housing shaft, and a flange depending from a housing wall whereby the rod and flange are disposed to actuate a trigger assembly of the nasal irrigation device.

A fire extinguisher is shown and described. The fire extinguisher may include a housing, a vessel positioned within the housing, the vessel retaining a fire suppression agent therein, and a discharge port positioned in the housing and operatively coupled with the vessel, where the fire suppression agent is capable of being expelled from the discharge port. The fire extinguisher may include an electrical connector positioned on the housing, the electrical connector capable of operatively securing to an electrical outlet, where the electrical connector is rotatable relative to the housing.

An igniter apparatus is provided, comprising a heat precursor source having a heat precursor; a heating arrangement configured to, on demand, receive the heat precursor from the heat precursor source and to emit heat associated with the heat precursor and capable of igniting an ignitable article; and a sensory precursor source having a sensory precursor substance, wherein the sensory precursor substance is configured to provide a perceptible sensory effect, and wherein the sensory precursor source is in communication with the heating arrangement and is configured to release the sensory precursor substance in association with the heat emitted by the heating arrangement. A multi-chambered bottle includes first and second chambers, a metering stage, a pour spout and a cap. The metering stage includes first and second metering stage sections connectable to respective mouths of the first and second chambers. Each metering stage section comprises a nozzle having a liquid inlet orifice and a liquid outlet orifice, and a vent tube having an air inlet orifice and an air outlet orifice at opposite ends of the vent tube, the air inlet orifice to be disposed outside of the respective chamber and the air outlet orifice to be disposed inside of the respective chamber, the vent tube disposed relative to the nozzle such that a line crossing a center of the air inlet orifice and a center of the liquid outlet orifice forms an acute angle with a normal axis of the bottle.

A sensor array system () can include a substrate layer () that includes a stretchable and conformable material that is configured to allow spaced apart and interconnected portions thereof to stretch and conform commensurate with movement of the substrate layer (), such as when attached to a patient's body. A plurality of electrodes () are disposed on a contact surface of the substrate layer (). Electrically conductive paths are also disposed on the substrate layer () and extending from each of the electrodes to which it is connected and terminating in an end thereof. The substrate layer may itself include more than one layer, such as including a flexible substrate layer () that is affixed to a stretchable material layer ().
