A spray gun for a plural component system is provided. The spray gun includes a first component delivery line and a second component delivery line. The spray gun also includes a nozzle, configured to receive and mix a first component received from the first component delivery line with a second component received from the second component delivery line. The spray gun also includes an air purge system configured to, when the spray gun is in a non-actuated position, purge the nozzle of the first and second components and, when the spray gun is in an actuated position, aid in atomization of the mixture of the first and second components.

Plural component spray gun system

A modular fluid delivery assembly is provided. The modular fluid delivery assembly comprises a fluid conduit. The modular fluid delivery assembly also comprises an electrical heating element disposed within the fluid conduit. The electrical heating element is configured to provide a heat source within the fluid conduit. The modular fluid delivery assembly also comprises a connection assembly, located proximate an end of the modular fluid delivery assembly, coupled to the heating element and the fluid conduit. The connection assembly is configured to provide a hydraulic coupling to the fluid conduit, and to provide an electronic coupling to the electrical heating element.

A mixer for a plural component spray gun is presented. The mixer has a mixer body comprising a mixing chamber with an outlet. The mixer also has a first fluid component inlet, coupled to a first fluid conduit, configured to introduce a first fluid component into the mixing chamber. The mixer also has a second fluid component inlet, coupled to a second fluid conduit, configured to introduce a second fluid component into the mixing chamber. The first and second fluid component inlets are offset with respect to a centerline of the mixing chamber and positioned such that a first fluid flow from the first inlet is directed toward the outlet, and a second fluid flow from the second inlet is directed toward the outlet.

Mixer design for a plural component system

A plural component pump system is provided for delivering plural liquid components at a selected ratio. The pump system includes a first brushless DC motor configured to drive a first pump that pumps a first liquid component to an output and a second brushless DC motor configured to drive a second pump that pumps a second liquid component to the output. The pump system includes a first controller configured to control the first motor and a second controller configured to control the second motor. The pump system also includes a communication interface between the first controller and the second controller. The first controller is configured to send a signal to the second controller using the communication interface and the second controller is configured to control the second motor based on the signal to deliver the first and second liquid components to the output at the selected ratio.

An exemplary plural component heater assembly includes a plurality of heater modules each having a plurality of bores forming at least a first component path and a second component path, and at least one heating element receptacle configured to receive a heating element for heating the first and second component paths.

A heat gun having a fan assembly for use therein having a flow straightener to reduce turbulence in air passing through the fan assembly. The fan assembly also includes a blower housing with a reduced diameter outlet, a relatively large diameter radial flow impeller, and an electric motor to rotate the impeller. The flow straightener includes a plurality of vanes, and curved radially interior and exterior walls. The motor includes apertures in upstream and downstream ends and apertures in a cylindrical sidewall.

A cordless electric powered caulking gun for pressurizing a tube of highly viscous substance includes a ball drive rod having a helical thread and a keyway, an electric motor and gear reducer coupled to a spur gear keyed to the ball drive rod, a cylindrical ball retainer having a plurality of pockets located on a helical locus aligned with the helical thread, a plurality of balls with one ball in each pocket of the retainer, a ball drive nut telescoped over and selectively axially moveable between a first and second position with respect to the ball retainer, and a trigger coupled to the ball drive nut via a spring to urge the nut from the first position to the second position when the trigger is actuated. The trigger further has a bearing surface and axial contact with the ball drive nut to force the nut to the first position when the trigger is released to a deactuated position. The ball drive nut holds the balls in engagement with the rod when the nut is in the second position and lightly holds the balls in engagement with the rod when the nut is in the first position, but permits the disengagement of the balls with the rod when the rod is moved manually.
