A blow molded toy cycle has a female bearing area with tapered and recess sections. A fork has a corresponding male bearing area that includes a tapered section and an annular protrusion section. A protrusion spaced at a distance from the annular protrusion extends from the shaft and has a surface to contact a top surface of the body to secure the fork when the male and female bearing areas are in contact. The fork has integrally formed tabs that to bend around an axle to form a bearing area for the axle that allows the axle to rotate within the fork. A blow molded pedal attaches to a section of the axle and has a series of ribs disposed between side sections to form a bearing area that allows the pedal to rotate around the axle. Two rear and one front wheels attach to the body and fork respectively.

A method and apparatus for facilitating the creation of holes in a blow molded container is disclosed generally comprising first and second mold portions mounted adjacent each other along a seam and a mechanism for creating holes at the seam. In some embodiments, first and second punches are used to create one hole underneath the container's handle. In some embodiments, a third mold portion is used to create a rose surface and create a plurality of holes therein.

A chainsaw case for a chainsaw having a bar is provided. The case includes a base having a lower, a rear, and two end walls, one of the end walls having a slot therein. A front member is pivotally connected to the base and is pivotable from a closed position toward a position in which the front member is substantially coplanar with the lower wall. A top member is pivotally connected to the base about a pivot axis which is substantially parallel to the pivot axis of the front member, and is pivotable from a closed position toward a position in which the top member is substantially coplanar with the rear wall. The case also includes a scabbard for being applied to the bar of the chainsaw, the scabbard having an end portion adapted to be received within the slot when the chainsaw is disposed within the base.

A method of enhancing the three-dimensional effect of a plastic part and the label used therewith is disclosed. A label for enhancing the three-dimensional visual effect which comprises a plastic core and/or, an insulating layer, and/or a heat-activated adhesive backing is disclosed. The label is aligned on the surface of a relieved mold. When plastic is forced against the back surface of the label, the label is stretched and forced into the relief along with the plastic. The label adheres to the plastic part by either a heat-activated adhesive backing or the core forms a melts/weld interface with the molded part creating a permanent bond between the label and the molded part.

Method for enhancing the three-dimensional effect of a raised plastic surface using in-mold labeling

A mold core having an upper surface and at least one hole passing therethrough is provided. An ejector pin is disposed within at least one of the holes in the mold core. The ejector pin includes a bushing having an undercut portion protruding above the upper surface of the mold core for enhancing the adherence of a part molded on the mold core thereto. The bushing also has a hole passing laterally therethrough through which passes an ejector pin shaft. The ejector pin shaft, which includes a head, forces a part adhered to the mold core off of the mold core when so desired. The protruding portion of the bushing is undercut in the form of a back-drafted angle, a circumferential rib, either indented or projecting, and of a partially round or V-shaped cross-section, a series of dimples, or of any other shape which will cause the molded plastic to adhere tightly to it. The head of the ejector pin may be located out beyond bushing and may be dome-shaped, conical, or any of other various shapes. Alternately, the head of the ejector pin may be flush with bushing or may be recessed within the bushing.
