A table having integrated lighting includes a table top having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a side edge. At least one light-diffusing insert is mounted along at least a portion of the side edge. There is also provided at least one lighting element mounted within the table top to illuminate the light-diffusing insert. The light-diffusing insert and the lighting element are housed within a horizontally-extending recessed channel along the side edge of the table. The table also includes at least one base support mounted beneath the table top. The base support has at least one open channel extending the length of the base support through which an electrical wire extends upwardly to the table top. The electrical wire is connected through the table top to the lighting element to provide electrical power to the lighting element.

A shock-absorbing outdoor seat for recreational boats and the like includes a cushion member shaped to abuttingly support a seated user on an upper surface thereof, and a one-piece, hollow molded seat body member. The seat body member includes a front portion with a connector, a raised rear portion, and a recessed base portion shaped to position the cushion member thereover. The seat also includes a shock-absorbing member positioned over the recessed base portion. The shock-absorbing member includes a deck supporting the cushion on an upper side thereof and which includes a rear attachment portion and a front attachment portion mounted to said connector of said front portion of said seat body member. The shock-absorbing member also includes a plurality of longitudinally extensible spring members having forward and rearward ends, a plurality of spring bosses molded integrally in the raised rear portion of the seat body to define apertures extending in a fore-to-aft direction which receive therethrough the rearward ends of the spring members, and a connector rod extending along a back area of the raised portion of the seat body. The connector is connected with the rearward ends of the spring members to support the deck in a pre-tensed condition over the recessed base portion of the seat body for absorbing shock loading applied to the seat by the seated user.

A self-locking, angularly-tilting seat support is provided for supporting fishing boats and the like. The seat support includes a mounting plate adapted to support a seat thereon. A support stud has its upper end pivotally attached to the bottom of the mounting plate and its upper end slidably received within a pedestal. A pivot block is fixedly attached to the bottom of the mounting plate. A bushing is slidably mounted about the support stud and abuts the pedestal support. The pivot block and the bushing matably engage at a plurality of angular positions such that downward forces exerted on the mounting plate are transferred to the pivot block thereby effecting locking engagement between the pivot block and the bushing. The mounting plate may be selectively positioned between a plurality of angular positions relative to the support stud4by exerting an upward force on the mounting plate thereby causing the support stud to slide upwardly through the pedestal allowing the bushing to slide downwardly relative to the support stud thereby disengaging the bushing from the pivot block and allowing the mounting plate to be pivoted relative to the support stud.

Self-locking angularly-tilting seat support

A two-piece folding outdoor seat for recreational boats and the like includes a hollow molded seat member and a hollow molded back member. The seat member has an upper surface shaped to abuttingly support a seated user thereon, and a raised rearward portion elevated above the upper surface and shaped to abut the lower back area of the seated user for improved comfort. The raised rearward portion of the seat member includes a plurality of integrally formed hinge fingers extending along an upper portion thereof. The back member has a plurality of integrally formed hinge fingers extending along a lower portion thereof. The hinge fingers on the raised rearward portion of the seat member and the back member are meshed with one another and pivotally interconnected to define a horizontally oriented hinge therealong which permits the back member to be shifted between a lowered storage position and a raised use position.

The invention is for an anchor for securely mounting an article of furniture to a support surface. The anchor comprises a shank having a head at one end thereof and abutment means longitudinally spaced away from the head, and a mechanical fastener that is movably secured to the shank between the head and the abutment means. The anchor further comprises means for attaching the article of furniture to the shank, said means being adapted to be mounted to the article of furniture and having an opening received over the head of the shank. The anchor also comprises means positioned between the article attaching means and the head of the shank for selectively retaining the article attaching means on the shank. The mechanical fastener is adjusted to bear against the article attaching means to securely mount the article of furniture to the support surface.

Seismic anchor

A two wheel roller caster (10) for use in supporting movable objects on a floor having a conductive band (56) which has two ends and is mounted between two wheels (16) so as to provide conductive contact between the movable object and the floor. A conductive path (60, 58, 56) connects a stem (14) to the connective band (56).

An adjustable chair support comprises an upstanding spindle and a tubular standard telescopically received on the spindle for vertical movement relative thereto. Stop means are provided for maintaining the vertical position of the standard relative to the spindle. Actuating means contained within the standard are operable to release the stop means and thus release the standard from one such vertical position for movement to another vertical position relative to the spindle. The actuating means, though enclosed within the standard, are operable from without the standard at an upper portion thereof.

A chair adapted to continuously discharge static electricity has conductive fabric (80, 98) on backrest and seat cushions (18, 14) grounded through conductive plates (84, 100) and staples (88), bolts (34, 68) and T-nuts (62). The backrest bolts (34) are electrically connected to each chair base (16) through a metal bracket (40). The seat bolts (68) are connected directly to the chair base (16). A conductive contact spring (120) is secured to the bottom of a spindle (114) to maintain electrical contact between the spindle (114) and a hub tube (124). A drag cable assembly (140) maintains electrical communication between the base (16) and a floor surface.
