The present disclosure relates to thermoplastic bags with liquid absorption capabilities. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed thermoplastic bags include a first sidewall and a second sidewall joined together along a first side edge, a second side edge, and a bottom edge, while having an opening opposite the bottom edge. Furthermore, in some embodiments, the disclosed thermoplastic bags have an absorbent adhesive material disposed on at least one of the first sidewall and the second sidewall. In some embodiments, the absorbent adhesive material is configured to absorb twenty to fifty milliliters of liquid while maintaining a viscosity above fifteen thousand centipoises.

The present disclosure relates to a thermoplastic film that includes a plurality of ribs and a plurality of web areas that separate and connect the ribs. The thermoplastic film further includes an encapsulated odor control component that includes an odor control active encapsulated within a plurality of encapsulants. The encapsulants can be configured to delay a release of the odor-control active until activated. Further, the encapsulated odor control component can be applied across the plurality of ribs and the plurality of web areas, which can be configured to cause the encapsulants to activate in phases.

Thermoplastic films and bags with encapsulation-based delayed odor control and methods of making the same

The present disclosure relates to a thermoplastic film that includes a layer of thermoplastic material and an encapsulated odor control component. The encapsulated odor control component can include an odor-control active encapsulated within an odor-control encapsulant. Additionally, the encapsulated odor control component can be configured to release the odor-control active from the encapsulant when exposed to malodor particles. The thermoplastic film can further include a color indicator that changes color to indicate performance of the encapsulated odor control component. For example, the color indicator can change from a first color to a second color based, at least in part, on the release of the odor-control active.

The present disclosure relates to a thermoplastic film that includes dual fragrance odor control. For example, the thermoplastic can film include a first fragrance component, such as a neat oil applied directly thereon. The thermoplastic film can also include an encapsulated fragrance component applied thereon. The encapsulated fragrance component can include a fragrance encapsulated within a plurality of encapsulants and can be configured to delay a release of the fragrance, such as until there is a physical interaction applied to the thermoplastic film.

The present disclosure relates to thermoplastic films and products formed therefrom that include additive components effectively compartmentalized based on diffusion characteristics of the additive components. For example, first and second additive components are localized on a thermoplastic film in a manner that as the additive components diffuse, they minimize or avoid interaction. Specifically, the thermoplastic film is folded over itself to create an air gap that causes the additive components to desorb, diffuse into the air gap, and then absorb into the film at a position across the air gap rather than diffusing substantially laterally across the thermoplastic film. By ensuring that the additive components diffuse up and down rather than laterally and by laterally offsetting the additive components, one or more implementations effectively compartmentalize the antagonistic components.

In one or more implementations the multi-film thermoplastic structure comprises a thermoplastic bag and text comprises a suffocation warning.

The present disclosure relates to a thermoplastic film that includes a layer of thermoplastic material and a color indicator applied to the thermoplastic material. The color indicator can be configured to change color in response to a trigger. For example, the color indicator can change color (e.g., change from a first color to a second color) in response to a color change trigger, such as exposure to malodor particles, absorption of moisture, a length of time, or as a result of oxidation. In one or more embodiments, the thermoplastic film further includes an odor control component configured to mask, neutralize, or otherwise control malodors. The color indicator can change its color appearance as the odor control component performs to control any present malodors, thus signaling the performance of the odor control component.

The closure device ( ) includes interlocking fastening strips ( ) and a slider ( ) slidably disposed on the fastening strips for facilitating the occlusion and deocclusion of the fastening strips when moved towards first and second ends thereof. Flexible shoulders ( ) and legs ( ) are disposed on the slider ( ) for facilitating the attachment of the slider onto the fastening strips ( ) in the vertical Z axis ( ). A closure device with interlocking fastening strips and a slider which establishes a leak proof seal. The closure device comprises first and second interlocking fastening strips arranged to be interlocked over a predetermined length and a slider with a separator finger which slidably engages said first and second fastening strips. The first fastening strip includes a first closure element and the second fastening strip includes a second closure element. The slider facilitates the occlusion of the closure elements when moved towards a first end of the fastening strips. The separator finger extends into the closure elements without extending completely through the closure elements. The portion of the closure elements below the separator finger are occluded when the slider is at the first end of the fastening strips.
