Systems, methods, and apparatus for cleaning and sealing threaded connector ports are disclosed. An exemplary cleaning system includes a basin and cleaning apparatus including a sealing connector, an alignment peg, and an outer foam sleeve having a tubular portion. The sealing connector includes a body portion having a gripping portion, an internal thread cleaning portion, and a longitudinal axis. Another cleaning apparatus also includes a cap cleaning end having a cap cavity and an inner foam pad. Another system includes a threaded connector port and a cleaning apparatus including an alignment peg, a disposable foam platform, and a handle body, which includes a grip portion and a pair of cleaning arms. The cleaning arms and foam pads are adapted to engage the female threads of a threaded connector port. A sealing apparatus includes a disposable liner having locator flaps and a placement tool having a handle and locator fingers.

A medical plug apparatus for use in conjunction with an ostomy procedure includes a cap and an elongated cylindrical shaft. The cap has a top surface, a bottom surface, and a first thickness. The elongated cylindrical shaft extends orthogonally away from the bottom surface of the cap from a proximal end to a distal end and has shaft diameter and the shaft length adapted to plug a stoma cavity upon inserting the elongated cylindrical shaft into the stoma cavity. The cap includes a gripping portion that has a gripping diameter such that, upon exerting a pulling force on the first region and the second region of the gripping portion, the elongated cylindrical shaft is directed outwardly away from the patient by the pulling force causing a substantially axial tension force on the elongated cylindrical shaft.

Systems, methods, and apparatus for gastric pressure relief, flow regulation, location, gastric residual volume, a placement reminder, bidirectional fluid flow markings, reintroducing gastric material, collection reservoir raising, collection reservoir hanging, a drain port, setting tube length, and vent membranes. A gastric pressure relief system is used in connection with an enteral feeding system, which includes a feeding container, administration tubing and a delivery tube, where the gastric pressure relief system is interposed between the administration tubing and the delivery tube. The gastric pressure relief system includes a collection reservoir with a gas vent to ambient atmosphere, relief tubing secured to both the collection reservoir and a multi-way connector. The multi-way connector joins the administration tubing to the relief tubing and a delivery tube at a point below a patient's stomach, which is designated on a placement reminder apparatus.

Gastric systems, apparatus, and methods for use with enteral feeding

A label for use with an intravenous bag having a surface and an interior volume for holding a solution in fluid communication with an intravenous line for dispensing the solution, where the label includes a back layer including an adhesive for securing the label to a surface of the intravenous bag, a front layer with a solution name including a first portion secured to the back layer, the front layer including a second portion removable from the back layer engageable with the intravenous line with the solution name on a first side and a second side. In some constructions, the solution name on the second side is inverted with respect to the solution name on the first side, and the second portion further includes an opening for viewing a portion of the intravenous line when the second portion is engaged with the intravenous line.

A dual material Y-connector for use in connection with medical tubing systems and the like includes an inner core made of a first material such as a rigid plastic material and an over-layer made of a second material such as a pliable thermoplastic elastomer. The Y-connector comprises a primary arm, a secondary arm and a convergence arm all in fluid communication with one another and may include a tubing segment bonded to the Y-connector convergence arm. The first material can be a transparent copolyester and the second material can be a translucent thermoplastic elastomer. Threaded caps having a multi-indentation configuration can be tethered to one or more arms and be configured to seal one or more Y-connector ports.

A drug delivery device is provided comprising a cartridge body including an upper portion defining a vial receiving area and terminating in a wall, the cartridge body including a cannula extending from the wall. A vial including a beneficial agent is coupled by a retaining member to the cartridge body in an inactivated position. The retaining member allows the vial to move to an activated position. The retaining member including an outer member and an inner member, the inner member separating from portions of the outer member as the vial moves from the inactivated position to the activated position.
