A power distribution connector is configured to connect an electrical cable to at least three electrical interfaces. The connector includes a housing with first and second sections. The first section includes a first electrical interface disposed at a first end of the first section and a second electrical interface disposed at a second end opposite the first end. The second section forms a T-shaped intersection with the first section between the first and second electrical interfaces. The second section includes a distal end opposite the T-shaped intersection, the distal end being configured to receive the electrical cable; and a third electrical interface oriented parallel to the first section, disposed adjacent to the second electrical interface, and extending a distance from an axis of the second section that is less than or equal to a distance from the axis of the second section that the second electrical interface extends.

A multi-joint junction having a plurality of selectively adaptable female well interfaces. Each of the well interfaces can have a generally uniform shape, size, and/or configuration such that each well interface is configured to generally interchangeably receive the same sized and/or shaped mating male connector or contact interface. The interfaces of the multi-joint junction can also be limited to female contact interfaces, and not include any male connectors or contact interfaces. Such a configuration can provide a degree of modularity that can improve the ease with which the multi-point junction can be adapted to conform to different demands, applications and/or system configurations.

Multi-point well junction

A solid dielectric deadfront electrical switch assembly having a switch contact assembly. The switch contact assembly can include an upper insulative diaphragm, a male pin contact having an insulating tip and an isolating sleeve, a primary contact, a lower insulative diaphragm, and a female socket contact. The upper insulative diaphragm, isolating sleeve, and insulating tip can assist in electrically isolating the male contact pin when the electrical switch assembly is in an open condition. Further, the upper insulative diaphragm can be separated from the female socket contact, and/or a female-contact insulating sleeve, by a gap chamber that utilizes air as an insulator. The lower insulative diaphragm can be configured to engage a drive rod that is used to axially displace the male pin contact between open and closed positions in a manner that may prevent arcing between the switch contact assembly and a base plate of a switchgear.

A safety lockout device for switchgear includes a movable member adapted to be moved from a first position to a second position. A switch is adapted to electrically isolate a motor in the switchgear and a blocking arm is coupled to a shaft of the motor. In the first position, the movable member engages the switch to close the electrical motor circuit and the blocking arm is free to rotate with the motor shaft. In the second position, the movable member moves away from the switch so that the switch is in an open circuit state disconnecting power to the motor and a portion of the movable member is moved to a position whereby the blocking arm engages the movable member to prevent rotation of the motor shaft and a change of state of the switchgear. The position of the movable member relative to the switch provides a visual indication of the operating state of the switchgear.

Lockout device for switchgear

A device includes a sacrificial cap configured for mounting on a direct access port of an electrical connector. The sacrificial cap includes an insulated body and a sacrificial probe conductor projecting from the insulated body. The sacrificial probe conductor is configured to conductively couple with a conductor in the electrical connector via the direct access port when the sacrificial cap is installed on the direct access port. The sacrificial cap includes a portion configured to be physically severed to confirm that the electrical connector is de-energized.

A module for retro-fitting an illuminated Exit sign, includes a plurality of light emitting diodes mounted in the module. Light emitted by the diodes is reflected and scattered by a reflector panel in a generally uniform distribution pattern to illuminate the sign.
