The present disclosure pertains to a pressure support system configured to provide pressure support therapy to a subject, wherein the pressure support system comprises a subject interface heater configured to controllably heat a pressurized flow of breathable gas to a target temperature that is offset from a baseline temperature. The breathable gas baseline temperature target offset ensures the gas delivered to the subject is delivered at a comfortable temperature and/or humidity level that does not cause airway dryness or result in condensed water in the subject interface. In one embodiment, the pressure support system comprises one or more of a pressure generator, a subject interface, a subject interface heater, one or more subject interface temperature sensors, one or more baseline temperature sensors, one or more general sensors, a humidifier, a user interface, a processor, electronic storage, and/or other components.

System and method for determining a target subject interface temperature based on a baseline temperature

The present disclosure pertains to a pressure support system configured to adjust a pressurized flow of breathable gas delivered to a subject. The system is configured to simplify adjustments to humidity and/or temperature control and/or pressure support therapy that enhance the comfort level of the subject during therapy. The system is configured to generate output signals and/or determine various parameters related to the pressurized flow of breathable gas. The system is configured to receive feedback from the subject related to a comfort level of the subject during therapy and automatically adjust the pressurized flow of breathable gas and/or the predetermined therapy regime, provide feedback to the subject, and/or prompt the subject to make manual adjustments based on the output signals, the determined parameters, the feedback, and/or other information.

System and method for adjusting humidification during pressure support therapy

A pressure support system configured to provide pressure support therapy to a subject is described. The pressure support system comprises a humidifier configured to control the humidity of gas provided to the subject during a sleep cycle to ensure an amount of liquid will remain in the humidifier at the conclusion of an estimated usage time. The pressure support system is configured to ensure humidified breathing gas is delivered to a subject during a usage time within a pressure support usage period. During times when the subject's moisture demand is greater than amount of moisture available in the humidifier, the pressure support system may decrease the amount moisture in the breathing gas so humidified therapy is available during the entire time the user is asleep.

Humidity control liquid maximization pressure support device

A system for providing respiratory therapy to a subject using a subject interface (). The system responding and/or adapting to a detection of the subject exerting a heat influence on the system, e.g. the subject increasing the temperature of the subject interface. For respiratory therapy that includes the use of a humidifier (), condensation or rainout is commonly a problem. The response and/or adaptation may inhibit condensation from forming along the subject interface.
